Take a look at this page. It i the Kufatec entire kit for adding the parking assist that you are talking about here. Note, it says that for it to work, you must have PR code 7X2. I don't have that and am not sure what it is. Audi lists it as "7X2 EPH Park distance control in front and rear. I don't have the 7X2 code on my cars list, but I have the front and rear sensors that go off when I am parking and get too close to an object. But I wonder if that is some sort of extra sensor for the upgraded system? ? www.kufatec.com/en/audi/a6/a6-4a/complete-kit-park-assist-for-audi-a6-4a-43420I think that kit may be for an older model, since the 2019-2020 seems to have all of the sensors. It is absolutely coding related, but unsure if there is a way to code the non-AI system. It is listed under the Kufatec options for 2019 and above A6.

That coding is enabled too
On gateway
As long as I enable intelligent park assist on 44 , both a5 and 44 has a communication issue. Short circuit to ground
If I turn off ipa On 44, fault goes away

Interesting, do you have the 12 parking sensors on your A6? 2 types of 12 sensor kit One is with 360, where wire goes to a5, one is without, where wire goes to bmc, problem now is coding for our cars where it’s the hi spec one with 360, where wire goes to a5, seems hard to get it enabled For the one where 12 sensor is connected to bcm, no problem at all to get pla working

OK, I have the answer from the previous Audi master tech. He mentioned we have to add the AI button to active the park assist since the control unit requires the signal from the button. The good news is it is not hard to add that button and he also helped the customer to enable this function before. Here is the part number: 4N9 959 673G

Do I need any particular options to enable Park Assist out of interest?
I don’t have 360 cameras, but I do have the S-Line with the tech pack, along with front and rear parking sensors.
Do I just need to use the original post coding procedure?
Thanks.

I know it doesn't matter given that Park Assist doesn't work yet, but I just wanted to mention that I couldn't find any of the 5F Control unit options on my A6 C8. I looked for the pdc options within Long Coding and Adaptions but found no matching names.

Also, with Park Assist I guess we would need ultrasonic sensors at the side of the car by the wheel arches, as seen in this video?

According to the parts places I've tried to get one, it's not a part number for a North American car, so they can't order it. If anyone locates this state-side, let us know where!

That's a -F model, it's identical to the one that comes stock on A6s (and prob A7s). It doesn't have the needed AI button. We need -G, as seen in the photo earlier in the thread.

I can’t help with the coding more than in this thread. Which buttons are you talking about? The lower MMI screen P touch button, or the hardware AI button..? Is park assist working but you only get one error in 44?

I called AudiUSA parts house. The part with the G ending is no longer made. It was discontinued in March, 2020. The part number 4N0 959 673J is available as of this last Monday, but no availability or price is shown in the global parts book yet and no picture of it. They said the specs for it did show same as the discontinued G model though. He called Audi Germany and was told that it is locked for sale in the USA. He can not even order it. It is available but only in Germany. He has seen this before and said that he has had customers call german parts house or dealers and buy a part and have it mailed to the US.

On a lark, I actually emailed a dealer in Germany. Assuming they can read english, I will see what they say.
