the tick box are called long coding, when you go into control unit select long coding, then in some control units you will have a 0/1 at the top of the screen, select 1 and follow your pictures

I went to byte 13 and ticked bit 4
Even without any of my input by me, the trailer control is already present (see pic below)
cant seem to find anything else that mentions (hitch or Trailer) within any other modules

Sorry cant see your 2nd picture of the trailer control. Have you seen anywhere the coding that is required if so can you share and I will have a look at it. Seen this one on the Leon and as you can see there are a few control units that need to be updated forum.obdeleven.com/post/17664Finally if you are a member of seatcupra.net then give Tell a shout on the tarracto forum he may be able to point you in the right direction for the coding. Sorry not my motor and dont have one in my garage to have a look at. Cheers

YELLOW - Control unit is in working condition but it is not installed in Gateway installation list.
Use the Gateway list coding function to add this control unit to the Gateway installation list.
This can be done in one of two ways. Go to the gateway list and you should have a function that allows you to add new one, select 69 and add it
second and easier way is go to settings and turn on auto gateway this will add all new controll units for you
re run scan and hopefully error gone

Thanks for your help so far testeronline I think the app your using is different to mine as i can't see what you mean. This is what i can see inside the Gateway Control unit: the first two pic are of the gatway control menu list
next pic is of Inside Basic settings. In there is "Generator, Controller Family Detection"... is this what your talking about?? Next pic is of Inside "Generator, Controller Family Detection"
As far as i can see there's no add or auto detect

Yes I am using the Android version, IOS One is not complete yet.
Just double checked this list of stuff to do on IOS and Gateway coding is currently under development so not sure what you can do about that.
Do you have an old Android phone / tablet you can use (the dongle works with both)
I would raise an issue with help desk (via the in app help function) and ask them if there is anything you can do about this or do you have to wait till its rolled out.
Hope that helps.

Aah right.... it does appear that the ios app is lacking in a number of places. there isn't even a tutorial yet unlike the android app. Ill have a word with family and friends to see if any of them have a android phone Thanks for your help on this its really appreciated

Now that you mention it i have got another problem, was going to put another post up Ever since i disconnected the battery to do the wiring for the towbar i have had an ACC error on the dash The error code says ACC no basic settings. do you know anything about sorting that out? I've read a few things and some people say recalibration at the dealers. I really hope not!!

Under normal circumstances when you get basic settings issues you need to go into the Basic Settings menu and run the required setting to reset it.
However (and this is only what i have read) for ACC the little box in the front grill has to be recalibrated, and this requires a Dealer with the correct hardware to do.
But I am sure I have seen somebody give some instruction on a possible workround that requires you to take the car out on a motoway and do some stuff to reset it.
I dont have the time tonight but will do a search in the morning to see if i can find the post and see if that helps.

Thanks I also did some looking and found this:
. . .
With OBDEleven: First check to make sure radar tolerances are ok. (+- 0.8 deg tolerance range). - After scanning > Open control units > Adaptive Cruise Control 8B > Live data > Select Misalignment angle, Vertical angle Deviation, Horizontal angle deviation, Check range. Do the same for control unit 13 Adaptive Cruise Control. If its within range continue.
Reseting Misalignment angle (All faults must be cleared for basic setting to work) - Open control units > Adaptive Cruise Control 8B > Faults > Clear them (Might take a couple tries)> After faults cleared, go to basic settings > reset misalignment angle. Do the same for 13 Adaptive Cruise Control.
Confirm it no longer shows faults on OBDEleven and then make sure ACC unavailable is no longer displayed on the dash, then power off the vehicle. Now go test your work. . . . .
I could not find (reset misalignment) in my Basic settings!! I'm going to try on an android phone (when i find someone with one) and see if there's an option for that in the android app.

I've borrowed a friends android phone today and managed to add module 69 with auto Gateway like you said earlier. Thanks for that There is just the acc, no basic settings i have left. nothing i've see so far has worked

Purely by luck and having nothing to lose i tried the acc calibrations settings. there is two options in the ios app, Static and Dynamic.
Static does nothing and just adds more error codes, so i tried Dynamic. set it running and went for a drive. i few minutes down the road and all errors disappeared. Happy days
I'm still not error free though as everytime i do a key cycle i get an error in the Gateway, Towing recognition control module, No communication, u100300.
this has just started since i added the module 69

However good news that issue is sorted.
I can see lots of people with same issues (U100300) but afraid I have not seen any answers yet. I presume the when you connect trailer everything works ok
last question what color is module 69 showing
