Yes, you can: Selcect control unit -> Live Data -> Individualization characteristic
To come up with the following question: You cannot activate a Swap or Fec. As far as I tried some months ago, you cannot transfer a swap code with obd11. You can only enter 2 bytes in obd11 in that adaption, while a swap release code is 341 bytes long. Yep, technically a bug :-)
Never bothered the devs with this, as I cannot imagine somebody to use OBD11 on his mobile/tablet for Swap.

Hi all! An user my telegram group found a SWAP code generator: link removed
The generator need: VIN (ok, everyone has it) VCRN (?)
What is "VCRN"? I think is a 5F hardcoded "serial", or check string...
I found this thread: link removed
And in this log i can read:
Jun 23 02:34:13 5 10014 9 [403d0013] [iMX6.Swap.tsd.mibstd2.system.swap] VCRN: 0xa5d336db61
Bingo! This is the code because: Example VCRN: A8436BB7C5 VCRN in the thread: A5D336DB61
Same lenght, 10 character, the 0x can be removed.
I think we can unlock function with the code generated in the obd11 5F basic settings section "Release of SWaP function"
How i can find the VCRN with obd11? WTF is the VCRN? Someone have been tried this generator with success?
Have a nice day :3

With vcrn you can generate the swapcode... why "cannot imagine somebody to use OBD11 on his mobile/tablet for Swap"? This is a great functionality

Just saying: The last time I tried this, die Android Branch was still unable to insert an swap code. Ios did it :-)
You need 4 Codes for generating an Swap Enablement: *VCRN *VIN *Private Key of Control Unit *FeC
while VCRN, VIN and FeC are known and readable, getting your hand on the Private Key is impossible.
Swap Enablements are taylored to the car's VCRN and VIN. So you would have them generated individually just for you. I only know a handfull of people actually being able to generate keys as they like (but not have the private keys) Swaps are either coming from VW (using ODIS) or by someone providing them and install them for you included in their service (they will not do this with OBD11). So you would likely have another tool already connected and open - why plug in obd11?!
Nevertheless, an Swap enablement code is 350bytes long - I can imagine a lot more convenient tools to blindly paste this.

I would like to update some things here, as we had to do some censoring: VCRN is not hardcoded, but an value calculated somehow in each control unit. So each car will have an different VCRN, changing some component protection master or the swap-protected unit will generate a different vcrn.
There was a link to a swap generator, which does not work! Technically, just plumbing together all 5 parts of a function enabling message: *Time *VIN *VCRN *FEC *Signature While everything looks fine, the most important part, the signature, is always the same string, so there is no signature generated, let alone a matching signature to the units public key. You can easily overwrite valid FeCs with invalid one with that tool - thats why the link was removed.
So here we are again. If you are having a unit, which does not check for signatures, you would likely have everything enabled beforehand.
