Evening,
This question may have been more suited for the Alhambra forum buit it seems a bit quiet on there. I got my obd yesterday and it connects to the car fine, I had the intention of looking into getting traffic sign assist activated on the car with it having the front camera however I'm having a bit of an issue connecting to the A5 control unit. When first connecting it is now in the list at all, upton reading into this I added it into the gateway and re-scanned and the module reports green but when trying to connect t the unable to connect check ignition error.
I've tried this on my iPhone as well as an Android tablet running the most current version of the app and operating system.
So the question is if anyone has had success accessing this module on one of the neer Alhambras of Sharans?
So far I've not done anything with the device other than look through what is being displayed.
For reference this is on a 2019 Seat Alhambra 2.0 Xcellence DSG

blackburn: Hi. I'm not familiar with your car - but your post begs the question: why do you believe that the car has a hexA5 module? Does the car have Adaptive Cruise Control? The hexA5 module is the radar device that normally sits at the front of the vehicle

Thanks for the response.
This might be the answer then, looking at some of the examples that mentioned getting the traffic sign assist/lane assist activated mentioned this module so I thought I would have look to confirm.
On the app A5 is down as a front assistance system (which ties in with your mention of the ACC module) , but on the coding it's referred to as the Front / Advanced Camera? The only camera control unit I can see in my list at the moment is the one for the rear camera, though I've not taken a second look at the gateway list either.
Edit: And no I don't have ACC, only standard cruise control.

blackburn: I would say that you have answered your question - Without the Radar module (@hex5a) on/behind the front grill, there ain't no way for the car to know about the distance from the vehicle in front. The car also needs a front-facing camera - alas. So TJA is not possible on your car Don

There might be some confusion here, the car does have the front camera installed (So one facing front, and a top section of it which I assume takes care of the automatic lights and things?) - The only thing it does not have is assisted cruise control and just has standard cruise control equipped. Regarding module A5 though, it is referred to elsewhere as being for the Advance/Front Camera but if this were not present on the car then surely it wouldn't be reporting as green on the module list and would be black, or be throwing up faults if I enabled it on the gateway and scanned? I'm just after some clarificaiton from other owners really on if they've been able to get this enabled on the later Alhambras, I don't think must has changed since the facelift other than maybe software? I’ve attached an image, this is the front facing camera yeah?

Any further thoughts on this?
I've messed about with the gateway to test and added 1 module I know the car did not have and it produced a fault on the gateway as expected, no faults are reported anyhow if I had A5 (Driver Assistance) and it reports green whereas the wrong ones will be black and will result in the gateway turning red for the fault.
The next step for me is going to be raising this with support, I've tried this on an android device and iPhone, I think the iPhone app due to being in its infancy doesn't really have an exception coded against it as it does take you into the module but doesn't display any information and I suspect it would or should be falling over like the Android version does when not being able to communicate with the unit. (Not responding check ignition)
