You can flash it with odis engineering, software is available at erwin, but after flashing paramerizations must be performed and this require online access.

You can ask but it’s doubtful they will you need a good dealer that knows what he or she is on about
You can buy a VAS or j2534-2 and do it yourself

Where did you find the software on erwin? i have full access and online access but I cannot find the ODIS E software. I also have the AC and want to update to AR. VCP also has the parameter files... its just the update I cannot do.

I finally got the Trailer Assist to work.
I am going to list all of the coding below, so that someone in the future will have it all in one place. Please note that I am using the OBDeleven Next Gen Pro on a 2020 Q8 Prestige with rear wheel steering. The coding may differ on other years or models.
Please note that the Trailer Assist icon will not "light up" on your MMI unless you have the vehicle attached to a trailer, the wires plugged in, all of your trailer lights are functioning properly, and your rear liftgate is closed.
Please also note that in order for the Trailer Assist to work, you must also have the Maneuvering Assist coded properly. It does not matter which one you code first. Here are the steps:
Maneuvering Assist:
09 Central Electrics > adaptation > maneuvering assistant > activated
44 Steering Assistance > long coding > byte 2, bit 1 (active)
A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 44 > bit 5 (MA Steering Active)
A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 44 > bit 6 (MA Braking Active)
A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 44 > bit 7 (MA Maneuver assist installed)
19 Gateway > adaptation > installation list > parking assistance > coded
Important note: Make sure to code and swipe the installation button at the same time for the following two steps since they apply to left and right brakes and must be coded the same:
03 Brakes > long coding > byte 10 > bit 0 > active
03 Brakes > long coding > byte 24 > bit 7 > active
Trailer Assist:
44 Steering Assistance > long coding > byte 1, bit 2 (trailer maneuver assist active)
46 Comfort System > long coding > byte 4 > bit 7 (trailer monitoring)
09 Central Electrics > long coding > byte 28 > bit 7 (ARA installed)
A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 15, bit 4 (FW ARA BCM installed)
A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 54 > bit 6 (TMA trailer maneuver assist installed)
A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 54 > bit 7 (TMA trailer maneuver assist image processing installed)
5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function Adaptations Gen 2 > menu display trailer assistant > activated
5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function Adaptations Gen 2 > menu display trailer assistant over threshold high > activated
5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function List BAP Gen 2 > trailer assistant 0x36 > activated
5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function List BAP Gen 2 > trailer assistant msg bus 0x36 > terminal 15
IF YOU HAVE REAR WHEEL STEERING YOU NEED TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL STEP:
09 Central Electrics > long coding > rear axle steering > Hal not available
Regarding the rear wheel steering setting, I intend to turn this to "not available" when trailering and to "available" when not trailering.
I hope this helps someone in the future. Thank you everyone for your patience.

I get marginal conditions not met trying to set 44 byte 2 bit 1 to active in OBDeleven. I also don't see 19 adaptation parking assistance. Anyone else have this issue? I tried with hood open, engine on.

I tried again with hood closed and engine off and it worked. Also I reread and noticed the 19 adaptation is Installed and set that. Now I was able to turn on maneuver assist from the menu but when I get the cameras open the maneuver button is crossed out.

Nevermind I went for a drive and it wasn't crossed out. I guess it's not available in certain situations.

Below is my complete coding including the 03 module. STG 09 > Adaptation: MAS12843-Maneuvering brake function,activated ,1 STG 44 > coding > Byte 02 > Bit 1 auf "Maneuvering assistant,0=not active / 1=active" STG A5 > Coding > Byte 44 > Bit 5 auf "MA_sterring,active" STG A5 > Coding > Byte 44 > Bit 6 auf "MA_breaking,active" STG A5 > Coding > Byte 44 > Bit 7 auf "MA_maneuver_assist,installed" STG 19 > Parking assist > coded STG 03 > Coding > Byte 10 - Bit 0 - Activate STG 03 > Coding > Byte 24 - Bit 7 - Activate Today I did the coding on my A6 2021 machine, an item on the menu appeared but my indication is different.

As for the Q8 - I managed to code Maneouver assist on my Q8, after first updating the zFas (A5 driver assistance module) at the dealer (was 0291 version). This was a breeze since There is a TPI instruction at Audi to update the older 0291 versions due to intermittent faults experienced by customers on I.e. lane assist / lights / and pre-sense functions. Just mention that you have seen this occuring a few times and the dealer will help by updating to 0295 or later version.
