That looks reasonable. As long as you back up the code beforehand you “shouldn’t” have an issue reverting. I would do it but I definitely take more risks than others. Yeah, I most probably will as well. Made a full backup of codings and adaptations earlier today . Matt, since you skilled guys already are thinking of the AI button, does it mean you already got the "normal" parking assist working? Parking inbetween cars, both parallel and curbside? Or are you stumbling on the physical button even for the "good old" park assist w/o hands? Can't seem to get the parallel, perpendicular parking working at the capacity of manual shifting, gas, brake, seems I'm only able to crack the AI autonomous parking - but missing the button. Would love to know if its possible to get the regular park steer assist working without the AI button, or if the AI parking is the only option on these cars.

Another question for the maneuvering assist -
When the vehicle approaches an obstacle, the radar window will pop up on the right. At that time, this function will have a slash, indicating that it is not available. So what I want to know is whether this function is unavailable when you don't put the reverse gear or click the camera button manually.

Hi guys, really need your help now. I tried to activate MA and trailser assist, but the car didn't brake with MA, so I decided to roll back. When I roll back the settings, I got 2 errors when I start the car.
SOS emergency stop fault and Start/stop fault. If I activate the Manuvering assist in 44 and A5 module again, the SOS fault disappear. But comes back when I remove the coding again. Fault codes in OBD eleven is the one in A5 regarding SOS and a constant in 01 that says "lost communication with body control module" as I suspect has to do with the Start/stop else it have been there before I started the MA coding.. The code in 19 also takes away the A5 module from the gateway list so I must add it back.
I only did the steps above and have double checked the history and the roll back is correct. I even tried to roll back in different variants with A5 first then 44 and so on without result. What should I do? Disconnect the battery or can it be even worse?

Maneuvering assist
I've done the following coding with ODBEleven:
STG 09 > Adaptation: MAS12843-Maneuvering brake function,activated ,1
STG 44 > coding > Byte 02 > Bit 1 auf "Maneuvering assistant,0=not active / 1=active"
STG A5 > Coding > Byte 44 > Bit 5 auf "MA_sterring,active"
STG A5 > Coding > Byte 44 > Bit 6 auf "MA_breaking,active"
STG A5 > Coding > Byte 44 > Bit 7 auf "MA_maneuver_assist,installed"
STG 19 > Parking assist > coded
STG 03 > Coding > Byte 10 - Bit 0 - Activate
STG 03 > Coding > Byte 24 - Bit 7 - Activate
Unfortunately when I try to code the STG 44 / Byte 02 / Bit 1 to active I always receive the following error message: "Function cancelled, marginal conditions have not been met." Have done this through adaption menu line and through Byte coding. Same result. Rebooted MMI several times, did open the hood, I've tried to use the security access which is available for STG 44 - but no success.
With all other coding I had no trouble. Is there a specific other security access code?
Thanks for suggestions :-)

Potentially may be the order in which it’s coded though with 44 I’ve never run into this. Have you completed all of the other coding?

Maneuvering assist:
All other coding I've done. I've repeated the coding a few times. Always same troubles with STG 44.
MMI version: MH2p_ER_AUG35_P2711 Audi A8 2019 / Germany - Switzerland

MA for me only comes up and is activated when I click the park sensors button. I think this is by design because if you are at a stop light and activate it it will try to steer around the car in front of you. When the parking screen comes up you can tap on the icon with the slash to enable it though.

So, a couple more questions.
First, once coded then, it sounds like it is only on when you activate by pressing the icon with the slash on it?
How do you do both coding of the bits in stg 44 at the same time. For me, it requires me to set one and activate that, then go to the next one and and set it and activate it.

MA is automatically activated when I bring up the parking cameras. For me at least. I believe someone had been coding this with OBDEleven a little bit of a way back by noting the hex changes and writing the whole code at once

In order to meet the marginal conditions your car needs to have the engine on but ACC on. So what I mean by that is you know that state of your car when you get in, click the 'start engine' button without holding the brake? Do that, and it'll work. I can't get MA to work for the life of me, but I did get around the STG44 instruction.

Are you coding a US car or European car. 2. A video of a walkthrough on both MA and PA of the step by step coding. Some of us are not as techy as others. I am still confused about how to code the stage 3 at one time. I don’t have a clue about hex.

Yes the brakes is working for me, in regard to the MA function, and coding if the 03 module. The start stop error I had when I was rolling bact the coding for the parking assist. Even though all the codingfor PA was removed the error was still there. After removing the battery pole, everything was back to normal again

MA I was able to do all the coding but I had the same results like fatjon
I've an A8 from Germany.
I've changed all the settings backward but have now the error "PA dysfunction".
I saw that maybe the battery should be disconnect.... Did somebody had success to bring this error message away? And if I have to disconnect the battery where should I do that?
Thanks from Switzerland :-)

Start it up after the 15 minutes and it should have reset itself.

I went to Audi Germany website and I can confirm the Audi A8 has Parking Assistant which allow auto parking. If we can get the code from our friend, that will be excellent.

I’ve tried leaving the car for hours and rolled back the code in different ways, without result. But just lose and holding the negative clamp above the battery for a second did the trick. Now all fault codes are gone, will try with the trailer assist first then parking before I try the brakes for MA again..

MA
I've only the OBDEleven device but I will try to export for the modules 09, 17, A5, and 44. But my car does not have automated parallel park assist.
I've already closed the car for several hours but the error "PA dysfunction" is still there.
Where and how exactly should I remove the negative clamp? I saw the battery is on the right side of the trunk. Or any other ideas for to remove the error?

I couldn’t remove the clamp because of some things above the battery in height. But just loose the clamp a lot and keep in the middle so it doesn’t touch the battery. It worked for me!
