Hi all,
Do you know if doing adaptions/using one click apps will create me issues with the car dealer in case of warranty claim?
Has anyone relevant experience?
Thank you.

Simple answer is Yes, More difficult answer (due to what i have seen on the web) some garages do not care at all.
Others if they get a wiff you have done anything will just flatly refuse to help.
FYI This is the response i got from Seat Customer services when I asked the question directly
Dear OBD11 User
Thank you for your recent contact with SEAT Customer Services.
We would recommend that any alterations made to a vehicle or any parts used on your vehicle should be SEAT approved. If this recommendation is not followed and a non SEAT approved part/accessory is used on your vehicle and a fault occurs as a result of the use of this component then your warranty will be void.
If also you turned on any features of a component that did not come as standard on your vehicle and that component broke the cost will not be covered by SEAT and in doing so the warranty on any related parts can also be affected.
I hope this information proves useful and if you do require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me on the number provided below.
Kind regards

Do not be afraid. Everything can be easily reverted (except for byte 18) once a proper backup is done. I doubt any dealer cases about coding changes unless you retrofitted some non-VAG hardware. A technician would most likely revert the coding and adaptation back to factory during the troubleshooting process.
The idea behind OBDeleven and VCDS is to avoid having to visit the dealer to fix issues that are a simple DIY.

Yes but i'm sure dealer's software can recognize if an adaption or coding has been done, even if you reset the changes. I mean, all these changes should leave a ''print'' that advanced software can find it. For example, if i code the rear led lights to work as drl and for some reason the led burns, then probably they will not cover it.

all these changes should leave a ''print'' that advanced software can find it. Equally so, there are advanced tools like AVDI that can clear the flash counters as well.
