Need to sort out a more efficient way to log data

I would consider myself a "power user" of your product and generally think it's great.  The one area I struggle with however is logging.  This is accomplished using "charts" and selecting the parameters to log.  Here is the issue: you can't search the list like you can when you do the same thing in "live data" which makes this quite a bit faster, you have to scroll though the huge list of parameters.  Once you are done logging, you save your .csv and now, if you want to log again, you have to start over.  Why can't the app allow these charts to be saved and opened (they are in fact saved) again and used for logging?  This is your biggest weakness vs. VCDS.  Come on guys....get this done!
