Is there any way to get the german translated to english or have the option to select languages in the long coding section?

Short answer is no, you will have to use google translate or other such site to translate each item I’ve found 🙄

Google is your friend, well that’s what I use, I just type German to English and 2 boxes come up, put what you want to translate into the first box and second box tells you what it is

When these two settings are in English the adaptation and long coding is still in German text hence why you see all the known tweaks online in German

Adaption I would agree are a mix of German and English but as this is a German car company (platform rather than make) not a surprise.
I have a spreadsheet of all the backups of my car and just added English equiv where I don't use the values very often but as you say VCDS and OBD11 give the actual names so that we can all talk about the same things You will soon learn to be a german reader.
