Received what I believe is a Next Gen OBDEleven scanner today (Starter Pack) and am having issues connecting it to my phone.
Phone: OnePlus 6T running Android 9 (OxygenOS 9.0.17) Car: Audi A4 Avant 8E 2005 1.9 tdi
Issue: ODBEleven scanner is plugged in and is showing a red light. Appears in my Bluetooth menu, but when I attempt to connect it with "1234" it says "Couldn't pair with OBDeleven 2 because of an incorrect PIN or passkey". The device does appear to pair with "123456" but the OBDeleven app then does not connect
What I've tried: I've extensively searched the issue and have tried -
1. Deleting all other paired Bluetooth devices 2. Turning BT off and on again after a 20 second delay 3. Turning Wifi off and on again after a 20 second delay 4. Restarting phone 5. Reinstalling app 6. Trying to connect with car off / ignition on / car started 7. Trying all of the above with the door closed / open.
Im at a bit of a loss as to what I'm doing wrong. Only thing I haven't been able to do / work out is how to disable the car's built in bluetooth system (which phone isn't connected to), but can't really see how this would help as it doesn't interfere with me connecting to other bluetooth devices from the phone.
Any and all help greatly appreciated

When I got my nextgen device the leaflet told me to pair (as you say above) and I could not get it to work.
I was advised by OBD11 Support that this was a printing error and you dont need to pair the new device (but you did the old one)
What some have done and found works is starting from scratch so do a data clear of the OBD11 App, Then go to the OBD11 Main menu and select DEVICE, Then delete all the items shown there.
Now plug in your dongle (door should be closed and ignition on) and it will hopefully show you the new device.
One other thing I know on the newer audi's you have to have the bonnet open but from memory that is only for coding to be accepted.

Thank you testeronline - deleting the device from the menu got it to connect and made it work. Much appreciated. Doing a scan now

Help request from a newbie,,my note 9 runs the app i can see it in devices within the app, but will not pair/connect. my car is a Seat Ibiza KJ the app recognised the vin plate etc any help welcomed just keep getting Device not functioning

adrianrdale, are you using android, what dongle do you have (white - legacy or black - next gen). Can you confirm your android version is equal to or greater than 5.0 Have you got good internet connection.

good evening, i also have problems with bluethoot, it does not associate with any phone i have at home, they are all android 9 or 10, i tried to remove all bluethoot devices, turn off and on again but it still does not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the application by entering only my account, but it still doesn't work what can I do? the led continues to flash red

There is a lot of us with issues.Voltas doesent care about it. I have tried to write to them to send them device back because i did every single thing that they assked and my device doesent work properly. Conection is crashing and they are not responding to complaints.

khyr, as this is a user forum it would help if you told us what car, year and country(if outside of europe) Phone and Android version App version Could you confirm what you have already done (so we don't waste time telling you to try something you have already done You state connection is crashing and also does not work properly is the connection the only issue or do you have others. To return the device according see the current return policy below although i would have thought that local rules mean you can get a refund if the device is not fit for purpose. Return We are accepting 14 days return policy. Item must be returned in original package and without marks of use. Virtual items as PRO version and Credits activation codes can't be returned for refund. Shipping fee is not refundable.
