Please, please, please tell me how you did this? Just bought a Tarraco Excellence Lux and am amazed to see it doesn't have High Beam Assist (but has all the hardware requirements) - my '13 Leon does! Never used OBDeleven so total noob. Thanks!

Sorry, yes, should've done some more reading. Just purchased an OBDeleven, so I'm sure all will make sense.
I do have a couple of other questions for the OP though please: 1. Was any calibration needed for the high beam assist to work? 2. What spec-level is your Tarraco?
Many thanks in advance!

He was last online on 14th of July :/ I just looked up the coding for the Seat Leon 5F. There it says you need a front camera system and that's it. If you have that i would try it. Just do a backup before you start.

What issues are you having
Is it that it just dont work
Or is it because you cant find some of the items in the list.

Hi, it wouldn't allow me to access the module. If I click on it, it said something like cannot connect. Managed to change the sign recognition and dash display though.
Thanks

I'm going to have a go at this on my new 21 Terraco. I hope it's self explanatory once I boot up the app on iOS!

I tried this on my 21 reg Tarraco. I could make the changes in control unit 9 but it wouldn't allow me to make the changes in A5, wouldn't accept the long coding for byte 21 bit 5.
Any ideas? Is this the sfd protection we've been hearing about? What does the A5 changes do, adds an option to the multimedia display for the HBA?

As per current understanding your car is not impacted buy sfd but to be fair most new cars have supported coding in a5
did you have the bonnet open when coding

Yeah I had the bonnet open because I read that it was a requirement. I coded the sport display in the digital dash with no problem.

Yes all new cars need bonnet open to make coding changes.
What error message did you get when you tried the long coding changes.
Have you looked through the option 0 items (assuming you are Android) to see if there are any long coding options for High Beam or maybe something like AFS_coding_light_assist.

When you say look through the options do you mean the apps that Obd 11 have included for the Tarraco? There is an app for high beam assist but I don't have the credits for it.
I can't remember the exact wording of the error other than it was a red banner stating 'error not possible or error not available', tried it three times.

No sorry I meant the long coding options, if you are a pro user then when you select long coding you have two versions, 0 has some text values and shows the actual settings 1 has the byte bit setup.
Do you have the Pro licence if so do an app cache clear and then try again and see what the error message is.

Yeah I get you now, I did look in the adaptions list but didn't see anything. I'll clear the cache and give it another go later. Thanks for the help

So as per your advice a few messages above testeronline I went back into OBD 11 and had another go. This time I did all the steps up until changing byte 21 bit 5, instead of this, in the long coding section where it doesn't show the byte data I found 'afs coding light assist' and this had a setting of 'no light assist' so I changed this to High Beam Assist in the drop down menu and it looks like it worked.
I get the auto light icon on the dash when I put on the full beams. So I will check it definitely worked when I'm out on the road in the dark.
