From 2019 production year Audi has installed OBD firewall function which is blocking any mofifications to the vehicle until hood is closed, so to be able to use one click apps, Long coding or adaptation functions you will need to open the hood.

I have a 2019 Audi A5 Sportback (US), and the apps are working without opening the hood. I have not tried long coding yet.

2019 A3 Sport Limo (EU) here - No issue with Apps and Longcoding without opening the hood.

I’m in the US. I didn’t notice that the apps are not working. How do I know if it’s not working? I used a couple of apps so far and in the apps menu it shows they are configured the way I selected in my 2019 S5 SB.

You know that the apps are working if you test them.
F.e if you active VIM test if the feature is now available.

I have a 2013 A6 so i shouldnt have to do that ..yet the apps wont work but my credits get gobbled up regardless

This works the first time around, but trust me - do as the first post says... i wound up with all sorts of settings i didn't intend and had to reverse them.

Similar story here. Tried Apps for Acceleration Display and Start Stop System with hood opened and closed but no change and Credits used
