I have a 2015 a6 quattro facelift, with nav high and I think mib, haven't got round to plugging in vcds, waiting for obd11 dongle to arrive. I read vcds cant change mmi settings on the newer cars. I'm looking to activate wifi client (car has wifi AP for music), in order to connect phone hotspot data for maps, audi connect etc. It was possible on earlier C7 that had the AMI socket. 2015 Car hasn't, also mine has no sim socket, just 2 usb and 2 sd. The Audi TT has this facility so I'm hoping it's there in the A6 C7.

Mine a6 2016 c7.5 also have the same configuration: - 2 sdcard slot - 2 usb ports - no sim card slot
I read about option to activate bluetooth thethering (rsap) from mobile phone.. but no success.
Any chance to configure mmi ap to get signal from mobile hotspot?

Any chance to configure mmi ap to get signal from mobile hotspot? You can't use rSap as the mmi doesn't have internal phone module, hence it has no sim. rsap just means porting your phones sim to the cars internal mobile phone module. Now getting the car's wifi ap to act as a client, that would be the business. Its part of audi TT spec, but when it will be cracked for A6? Who knows Meantime I cant even open the MIB engineering menu, even though I used the app to enable it. My a6 is 2015 facelift. Theres no unit 5F, mmi3g menu not supported, mib menu apo worked, said it changed it to on (trying twice it says no change) but RADIO and NAV pressed fir 20 seconds does nothing.

Update: After some heavy seaeching I found a document, drive.google.com/file/d/1HfptzVAjuOFVmIlPFL5R2aYXMbyyvgC6/view?usp=drivesdkThis shows the correct button presses for red and green engineering menu. For Mib cars its BACK and top left Soft key for Red menu. It states " not available" for green, but I have since discovered that for my Mib car it's BACK and bottom left Soft key. I now have both engineering menus. Next step is to see can I connect data in on the USB port using a compatible USB to RJ45 network adaptor. There were only a few which worked in pre facelift cars with mmi 3g/3g+, the D-link DUB-E100 rev a or b, or the Trendnet Tu2-ET100. With the facelift MMI I've no idea if any of these are compatible, but I'm getting some network activity on a rev d D-link which I bought. All the tutorials out there are for pre facelift. I'll keep searching.
