You can try this
Gateway control unit 19>
Adaptation>
Start / Stop outside temperature preset minimum temperature
Value> +50
Start / Stop outside temperature preset maximum temperature
Value> +50
OR
Start / Stop Start voltage limit>
Value> 12 (WE: 7.6)

Hi
Can you give me step my step from the beginning - tried last nite, and I have no idea where to go into to program the gateway. Do i go to Live Data? Apps? I only have 2 Apps - reset service dates and clear codes. No other apps.
And where do i go to add more apps?
Is there a quick start guide you guys have developed.
Unless you already covered it in one of your forums or youtube videos - a link would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Harry, I think you will find there are no more apps at the moment, I asked the same and Admin asked for a wish list, duly provided. To actually do the mod above I think you will need the pro version, which intimidates me a bit at the moment. Especially as the polo is the wife's car. Not a good idea to modify it to death.  ? |

I do have the pro version and activated it
I dont get the blue button on the bottom right after scanning - perhaps i need to speak to the admin here to check my activation code actually worked..
Yeah i am aware of the implications, had the polo 6R GTI prior and did some VCDS tweaks which i want to mirrror with my 6C - unfortunately i bought a cheap eBay VCDS which doesnt work with the 6C.
I hate the stop start function - especially in regional QLD - its virtually useless. I wonder why VW decided that the stop start should be added to a GTI.

When you complete full scan blue button is changed to clear all faults button, then you need to press on the big circle in the center of screen to access all control units list. |

Ok i will give that ago.. its proly very simple to use i just dont have the patients and i am not used to the android interface.

Setting voltage to 12 worked!! Yay!!
there is also a stop start control in the Engine Control Module.. I am not dared to touch it, can anyone confirm what this does?

Is it possible to give the channel numbers for these ?
I have a beetle 5C and the adaptations dont have labels for the gatewat module.
I might risk it if i find plausible values in the channels.

For me, that triggered an error message on the dashboard "start/stop error" shutting down the car removes the error, but it also resetted the value in the module. So it seems of no use to disable start stop permanently. |

Ok... it's never has simple sometimes...
Well setting the voltage to 12v solved my issue... it's never triggered since...

Hi Harry.
What do you mean if you say you set the voltage to 12v and it solved your problem. I tried to disable start/stop and it worked but then I got the error message in the dash-screen. How can I disable the message or disable it an other way?
