I have seen this on the VW Sites and you appear to be able to change the car that is shown on the car settings menu.
For the Seat select module 5F,
Then long Coding
and you change the first three hex values to be 047300 or 047310, this will change the display on your car settings menu from a 5 door car to a 3 door one.
There is no need to restart the unit.
I have this working on a MIB1 Unit and big thanks to XaGICo who also confirmed it worked on the MIB2 Unit as well.
