it all is a bit confusing, but normally it tells you which module to go in first, then either long coding or adaptions, then it tells you what parameter you need to change (in adaptions you look down the list (some are really long so some people tell you what to look for)) then it tells you what to change it to (and sometimes it tells you the old value) then you press and hold the green circle with a tick in it to save it,
Best to try some really simple ones first a few times (on and off)
As for the codes there all over the interweb either type in google Audi TT 2003 vcds codes or Audi TT 2003 obdeleven codes
