Hi gang,
Is anyone familiar with the following fault codes?
Gateway - U164300 Telematics - B200047
Whenever the ignition is on, the "SOS Error: Emergency Call" warning gets displayed, without failure. However, when I press the call button it will attempt to make a call (never let it run down the 10 seconds though). The warning for the "Error: selector lever" and "Error: gearbox" are sporadic, and there is no strange sound/vibration from the gearbox and the car drives like normal.
I took it to the dealership today and they want to charge me around £3500 to replace the CU for both, which sounds like utter bo11ocks (unfortunately I'm 2 months out of warranty and now I've raised the issue, I doubt purchasing extended warranty and taking it in is going to fly...).
I'm don't speak "car" that much at all but I am a quick learner if given some direction so any help/advice would be appreciated! Happy to buy the PRO or ULTIMATE plans if something as simple as a reset or change of code is likely to fix the issue without having the CU replaced.

Unfortunately I had the same issues but under warranty. For "SOS Error" my car had something related to the steering wheel and got replaced. For the gearbox the same story, the selector had to be replaced under warranty. The car didn't knew if it was in Park or Drive and threw the error. So they are hardware parts that needs to be replaced. There's nothing you can do with OBD beside clearing the error but I god tired of doing that 30 times a day

Best get shopping around to see if I can find somewhere which will do it a bit cheaper I guess!

Haha! My car doesn't recognize the hands on the steering wheel. Therefore a "please take over " (or something like that) message followed by two "brake checks" is constant. I cannot drive it anymore. It got towed today to the dealership and I'm waiting for a response from them. I will be out of country until 27th but I'll try to keep you posted .
