Hi Don-san Hello again too. I also interest to use OBDeleven which looks more easy to use than VCDS. I changed adaptation channel from Tilting to Open for Access control 2-SAD Richtung Komfortoeffnen setting. Dose rain close only work for Tilting ?

^^^^ Zeal san: As you are aware, the auto-rain close tweak is difficult to get working on lots of mk7s. I don't have a sun-roof, so I'm not sure, but try the tilting setting

I am also struggling with this mod. I thought maybe since I had not activated comfort open/close so I did the adaptations thinking maybe that was the issue but it was not(my car came with KESSY comfort closing but not remote fob). My stock coding with the RLHS is 90A8DD, my current coding is 96A8DDAny thoughts on what I can do to make it work I have a 2016 GTI Autobahn PP NAR car

excuse me I'd like to buy the obd11 tool . Is it available a longcoding suggestion(label for every bit) as on the VCDS software ?

Long coding is possible but only in pro version. The layout is different to vcds. I had at this time not one coding i cant do with obdeleven.

I'd like to know if there is a label for every bit to know the meaning of changing

You can see all bits and bytes but there is not written on every bit and byte what this does

I'd like to know if there is a label for every bit to know the meaning of changing gianry: As you probably already know, VW's control modules make a distinction between what 's known as "long coding" and "short coding". What appears to happen with OBD11 is that if the software has information about what function the various Bits perform in the control module, then you will be directed to the "long coding" screen. But it's seldom the case that the software has labels for all of the Bit in the control module. In some control modules (like Brakes -address hex03), there is no information at all about what function the Bits perform and OBD11 seems to take the user straight to the "short coding" screen.
One of the deficiencies in the way that OBD11 seems to manage "long coding" is that there doesn't appear to be a link between the Byte/Bit number and the label explanation (at least I haven't been able to find any such link). It seems that the user is simply shown the entire list of labels for the control module (often in German) and there is no way of identifying which Byte, or Bit the label refers-to. VCDS links the two, so the user knows which byte/bit number does which function! Perhaps this might be a future enhancement?

Is that correct?

^^^^ florivaeobi: Hi Your coding in the picture only works if the original value in Byte 0 was 00. Basically, you need to leave every Bit unchanged from the original value except Bit 1 and Bit 2 (which needs to be ticked)

Good morning, thanks for your answer. Byte 0 is byte 00 and before no bit was activated. After the instructions VCDS bit 1 and 2 must be active or do I understand this Wrong? Thanks for your help.

florivankenobi: Yes, your understanding is correct. But please be aware that many mk7 owners can't get this tweak to work!

Do you guys reckon there will be a app for this soon? I think it's a sought after feature.

So did you just follow the steps in post one of this thread or did you have to reset any modules as well after those steps? Any specific details would be greatly appreciated. Here is what I did using the OBD11 Automatic Rain Closing 09 - Central Electronics Security Access - 16 Code = 31347 (15) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_ein aus = Active (Rain Closing On / Off) (16) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_art = Permanent (Rain Closing Type) (28) Access Control 2 - Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen = Active (Driver Assist Rain Closing Menu) 09 - Central Electronics Select RLFS from SubMenu Change Long Code to 07006C Testing: 1) Light Switch in Auto position. 2) Wiper stalk in 1st / Auto position. 3) All windows fully open. 4) Locked car and wait for 2 mins. 5) Spray water on windscreen sensor and bam... windows close Couple of things to note. This does not close the sunroof. Also, after every test I would have to reset the auto up/down function of the windows. Comfort open/close would not work until I did this. I will use this feature so little these little nuances don't bother me. So did you just follow the steps in post one of this thread or did you have to reset any modules as well after those steps? Any specific details would be greatly appreciated. Hey Onyrd79 I have a 2017 q5 but it wouldn't accept my code 31347 I get a login fail error

rp83: Personally, I think your attempts to get this tweak to work will be the delicious futility of an impossible task!! It seems that this tweak works first time for the lucky few, or it doesn't work at all for the many! But in the feint hope that additional information might help - here's the long-coding-helper screens from my VCDS cable for the RLHS on my mk7 Good luck Dn

Hello everybody after reading this topic, I decided to give it a go on my 2014 Octavia. I've changed the 09 - Central Electronics Security Access - 16 Code = 31347 (15) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_ein aus = Active (Rain Closing On / Off) (16) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_art = Permanent (Rain Closing Type) (28) Access Control 2 - Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen = Active (Driver Assist Rain Closing Menu) 09 - Central Electronics Select RLFS from SubMenu Change Long Code to 07006C and the rain closing feature appeared on my MMI. After selecting it, I left the wiper blades on Auto, the lights in auto also the windows opened slightly and lock the car for two minute. Tried it after that and it worked perfectly for me.
Forgot to mention that I didn't even had to poor water on it, I just rested my palm on sensor and the windows closed automatically.

how do you know if you have the RLHS sensor? Are we able to do this with obdeleven now with the updates? Also Does this work while the car is off and lock/unlocked? this would be great as I do live in the pnw and it rains a lot and I have forgotten to close my sunroof and got drenched seats . I have 2015 TDI SE Wagon US model and I was wondering if this function will work on my car.
