Hello,
I noticed on one video that the golf has a map display and a speedometer with round dials, does anyone know where to code it, if it is even possible? At least look at it, it looks good.
It's on the video at 2:22:

It does look fancy, but I'm not sure it is particularly useful.
I suspect that it is only possible to display cartography from the VW OEM nav system on the instrument cluster. My guess is that most owners use Waze or Google Maps (via CarPlay or Android Auto) for navigation because those maps provide better dynamic traffic display and thus better routing advice than the VW OEM system.
If you take a close look at the video you referenced, it appears that there are two entirely different maps being displayed on the two screens - suggesting that the map on the large infotainment display is not a VW OEM map.

Discover Pro can provide the internal maps on both screens at the same time. There should be no limit of "one map at all" like we saw in MK7
But thats not the point here. It depends on the clusters software which and how views are displayed. With each new modelyear there was new software with less or more fixes and updates.
It is not the hardware, but as there is no upgrade path for users of ODIS E, it will lead to changing the cluster for new views and features
