Hello friends! I want to make basic settings for my DQ381 (Golf VIII 2.0 TSI), since the moment of purchase I have not been happy with its switching. More than 4 calls to official services (Czech Republic, Poland, Germany) did not help. Everyone told me that everything was fine with the gearbox. Will OBD11 do the basic DQ381 setup correctly and will this affect the warranty? Thank you! P.S: I’m attaching a video of sounds identical to mine, I’ve had this sound since I bought the car, from 0 to 30,000 km). Is this sound OK for DQ381? files.fm/u/9hmj4xymhs

For those of us who are not familiar with what "DQ381 setup" is, could you explain what this is and what causes you to think that your new car is not set up correctly?
Thanks.

In my understanding, the DQ381 is working incorrectly - the “coasting” mode is turned on every other time. Jerky shifts 2-3, 3-2. In sports mode, 1-2, 2-1 switches on with jerks. + did you watch the video? All twitching is accompanied by these sounds

If the temperature of the gearbox is above 15 degrees-very important (ideally 40-60 degrees) do the following:
Turn the car on, put the car in neutral, apply the parking brake and press the brake pedal firmly. Keep the foot brake pedal engaged during the whole procedure. Go to 02-Autotrans - basic settings and perform following in this order: - Reset counter for start stop processes (if available) - Reset gear selector data - Reset all adaptations - Basic settings of transmission.
Do not perform any other basic settings.
The last command performs basic adaptation of the clutches and of the gearbox. It is pivotal to keep the foot brake pedal engaged during the whole procedure. During the procedure, the car will change its sound and you will hear various clicking and grinding sounds. This is expected, do not abort the procedure. After the basic setting completes, turn the car off and on, othervise you won't be able to engage gears until a powercycle is complete.
From my experience with these transmissions, the behavior you are describing is completely normal. Especially harsh gear changes from 3-2 in D and 2-1 in S. Your expectations for the DQ381 are too high, it is a automated manual transmission, not an automatic one. Therefore, some stutter is completely normal.
