What can you do? - Ignore it, and stop worrying.
First thing you need to do is look carefully at the fault code and see if it is identified as "intermittent". If it is, you can ignore it.
Perfectly healthy MK 8 Golfs generate all sorts of "intermittent" fault codes. An intermittent fault is a fault that was present at some time in the past (perhaps for as little as one second) but was NOT present at the time you did the scan. Generally speaking, you can ignore intermittent fault codes unless you have observed some kind of problem with the component that is showing the intermittent codes. For example, if your left headlight occasionally flashes off and then on again, and you do a diagnostic scan of the controller for the left headlight and see intermittent fault codes that have a date, time, and mileage that matches when the light went on and off, then that intermittent fault code will be very useful to you for troubleshooting purposes.
On the other hand, if you have never had a problem with your left headlight, if it has worked perfectly all the time, and you do a diagnostic scan and see an intermittent fault code for the left headlight, you can ignore that fault code. Maybe it was generated because you hit a pothole and the electrical connector wiggled. Maybe it was generated by a packet collision on the databus. Maybe it was caused by sunspots or the phase of the moon (just kidding).
The opposite of an intermittent fault code is a STATIC fault code. That is a fault that is present at the time you carry out the diagnostic scan. So, continuing with the left headlight as an example, if you see that it is not operating at all, and you do a diagnostic scan and you see a fault code that says "left headlight bulb burned out", that's a static fault code
(yes, I know MK 8s use LEDs and not bulbs).
TL;DR: You can ignore intermittent fault codes unless you have
prior knowledge of a problem and the intermittent codes suggest a possible cause of the problem.
FWIW, I probably see half a dozen intermittent fault codes every time I scan my 2024 GTI - the car is a month old & has less than 600 miles. I'm not the least bit worried, I've owned VWs for 35 years and am used to the intermittent codes appearing.
