Good morning,
I wanted to know how to code on the golf mk8 the possibility of
have double tap horn or beep on opening only with double pressure on the remote control.
If possible, also the horn or beep when closing only by double pressing the remote control.
I think it's like on the mk7 on "Adaptation
Submenu - Acknowledgment Signals
"
In practice, the anti-theft beep should be activated even if you don't have an anti-theft device.
Can someone help me?

My car beeps once when locking and twice unlocking - just one press remote button. Some times when I am locking doors by touching to drivers door handle, I must touch again because it will not beeb - this happens sometimes...
Do you have that feature on, that car open only drivers door, and second press other doors? Maybe that is the problem. I have open all doors in single press.

I explained myself badly... I mean horn sound instead of alarm beep for vehicles that don't have volumetric. if I press the remote control twice the horn sounds. If I press once it works as a closure.

Francesco: Hi. I'm not entirely sure that I understand your words - but I assume that this car already has the sound-beep facility activated on OPEN/CLOSE with the key-fob. If I'm correct - try this: - central electrics module
- Adaptation
- Enter "ZV" into search box and select ZV Quittierungen
- Scroll-down the list of channels and find these:
- Quittierton_beim_zweiten_ZV_AUF_Befehl (Acknowledgment tone_at_second_ZV_ OPEN _command)
- Quittierton_beim_zweiten_ZV_ZU_Befehl (Acknowledgment tone_at_second_ZV_CLOSE_Command)
- Change the channel value of whichever function you want to enable (or, both functions) to acktiv

francesco1976: If you are in Europe, check your country's regulations first before you activate the horn beep. In some European countries, an audible acknowledgement of locking or unlocking is prohibited, and the cars are configured to flash the lights instead. I live in Canada, where audible alerts are not prohibited (but should be). Here, we just ask the dealers to turn off the horn chirp and they turn it off (and turn on the 'light flash') for us at no charge. Michael
