Golf 8 GTE Rear view camera coding?

Shouldn't the VPS 0x0B MSG BUS be set to CAN_FAS?

Wrong coding on 6c or wrong dataset ,you need odis engineering to put the correct dataset or genuine VCP

Hi, after installing the camera (if an original VW retrofit part) you need to update the firmware and load a dataset. This can't be done with OBD11. When this is sorted, the coding is as following:

After coding, the camera must be calibrated. This is possible with OBD11 as a basic setting, but you need the proper calibration template.

Hi, based on everything, you likely seem to need firmware and dataset updates. This can be done with ODIS, VCP, VCTools, just to name a few. Not with OBD11 though.

It finally works !
I flashed the software of the camera with ODIS-E and 5WA980556B file.
Then I coded it following the post of brkica.

Can anyone please advise regarding coding a new replacement camera?

I have a 4th gen Seat Leon (KL) which I believe should almost be the same to Golf 8.
My old camera lens has fell off. The image was completely blurry first and after some rains it shut off completely to an error on the dashboard.
I bought and installed a brand new original camera but with a letter D instead of B I had before (5WA980556B -> 5WA980556D).
I coded it using OBD11 in 6C module but I still have a camera error on the dashboard and no image at all
6C module scan shows "No basic setup" error.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks for the answer! I thought calibration only affects the parking lines and video position. I didn't expect it prevents from using the camera completely?

Weird... without calibration you should have the DTC "no basic settings" which does not allow the camera to work. 
But anyhow, glad that the issue is solved.
