Hello!
Can somebody help me.
I have Golf MK8 GTE. It has no Rain sensor. Only a Sensor for Air Conditioning?
I bought the Sensor with Rain/Light/AirSensor
Light sensor works after some codings. But the menu point of the Automatic Wiper isn’t available.

Georggte, did you get the rain sensor working? Was there wiring already available or was it bigger job to do the wiring for it?

Hi guys, i have the same problem.
I activate the rainsensor at the 09. Regensensorik_Verbauund_ABT_Steuerung LIN_Regn_Licht_Sensor.
I also set at the A5 Rain_light_Sensor to coded.
but ist doesn't work. I have no menu_point to active the automatic wipe.
Could help some one?

Today I have now found the solution through trial and error  09 central electronic (Zentralelektronik)
Regensensorik_Verbau und_ABT_Steuerung
Regensensor --> LIN_Regen_Licht_Sensor
Lichtsensor --> LIN_Regen_Licht_Sensor
HMI_Wiper_Comfort_Rain_Sensor_OFF --> active
Now the point with which the activation menu for the front wiper is activated.
09 central electronic (Zentralelektronik)
Assistenlichtfunktion
Maskierung_Regenlichtmenü --> nicht aktiv
A5 Driving Assistance (Frontsensorik für Fahrerassistenzsystem)
long coding
Rain_light_Sensor --> coded
optional: 09 central electronic (Zentralelektronik) Assistenlichtfunktion Assistenzlicht bei Regen --> aktiv Assistenzfahrlicht, Empfindlichkeit per BAP einstellbar --> vorhanden I would be very happy about a thumbs up. Frank |

gentlemanI try your solution yet, but when i finish appear: automatic Lights malfunction and front assist malfunction.

georggte , gentleman : There are two different rainsensors available for the MK 8 Golf. One has 4 "eyes" - it was used on early production vehicles, and the other has two "eyes". I understand that the controller that the rainsensor connects to was also modified at the same time the rainsensor changed versions. There is some detailed discussion of the rainsensor differences elsewhere in MK 8 fora, perhaps here on OBDeleven or perhaps on other fora. You might want to go do some searching and digging to see what you can find, that might help you out. Michael
