maxnaeg87 : hmm...... that information isn't useful to me - it simply confirms the data in your screenshot which shows that for some unknown reason ALL the channel settings for Leuchte 0 BLK VL B36 are zero - which is very strange. I need to see a copy of the COMPLETE back-up file . Load the file, itself into a post, rather than cut-and-paste the contents

maxnaeg87 : OK -I suspect that your car has Light Control Modules (LCMs) installed- which means that the front turn-signal lights are NOT controlled y the central electrics module. Alas, you can't use the Leuchte-set method and ASAIK, there is no way to get access to LCMs to alter their operation

Aircare memory is set to active via longcode/app. If the fan is on and Aircare is on, shut off/restart vehicle, the fan and Aircare will both remain on. However, if the fan is turned off at any point, Aircare will remain off until you manually go into the menu to enable it. Is there a way to have Aircare come on automatically when fan is switched on? Why not have Aircare on at all times (when fan is on) unless there's a downside to it?

Ok to get the footwell and door brightness sliders you need to change these 2 to from 0 to 8x1 (11111111, although I have tried any other 8 figure binary and it seems to work), IGNORE THE PATTERN OF 0-255 that Obdeleven puts up Central electronics Interior lighting, parameter: p_ambientelicht_verbauinformation_HMI: 11111111 (default is 0, and this one is for footwell) p_ambientelicht_verbauinformation_HMI_2: 11111111 (default is 0, and this one is for the door) I’m sure HMI_3 & 4 will put the settings cog on for other lights like maybe Center console if you had them in your car Now you will have the cogs on the brightness screen, but the glow will be WHITE Now if you want the glow on the screen to be the same colour as your display (like my pictures are green up there ^^^) Interior lighting, parameter: p_ambienteumfang_mehrfarbig_HMI: 100 (default is 0, footwell) p_ambienteumfang_mehrfarbig_HMI_2: 100 (default is 0, door) There you go independent footwell and door lighting with colour change Hello vwjap , Did you change the value without any problems? I'm trying on my mk7.5 using a vcds but not let me coz of restriction referring to 256bit coding. Next week I'm looking forward to buy a obd11 next gen. See what's gonna happen.. Any advice will be appreciated. i also have a problem with this encoding. I would like to enable the separate management of the foot lights but in the adaptations it does not let me do the coding. I use an original VCDS cable but it is a few years old ... How can I solve the problem ?

You know it’s a obdeleven forum right? Maybe ask on the vcds forum as I don’t have that lead

nimche : Assuming that your car has a hex55 module - try this (it's a 2-part procedure): Important: Make sure the car is fully settled on its suspension and that the vehicle is on level ground
Procedure 1
- Select hex 55 - Xenon Range module
- Select Basic Settings
- Select Basic headlamp setting and start the procedure
- This is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but in your case go to the next step
- Wait a period of time (suggest 10 seconds)- then stop the procedure
Procedure 2 (still in Basic Settings)
- Select Acknowledge basic setting and start the procedure
- The reference settings from Procedure 1 above should now be "recorded" in the module
- Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
- Back-out of the module, clear any error codes and exit OBD11 software (don't forget to disconnect the OBD11 dongle)

Don I didn't get notification, so didn't see your response. Thanks So 55-Headlamp Controls are not on the list, so I added it. Once I try to go in it says "Control unit not responding. Check ignition and try again" I tried this while have the headlight switch on and also off. I think my lights are LED headlight with US spec GTI SE?

@snaker: I think that on your car the headlight lamps are either incandescen, or the car is fitted with Light Control Modules (LCMs), so the central electrics module doesn't control the high-beam lamps

nimche: No, you can't just add the hex55 module to the installation list; the module needs to be physically installed in the car and it sounds like it isn't. Don

dv52 (Australia) : so the OBD11 becomes less useable as things aren't working on new models?

Post by dv52 (Australia) on Jun 4, 2021 0:37:51 GMT
nimche : hmm........ I'm the first to admit that OBD11 isn't perfect - but you might be a tad harsh in your criticism in this case.
Think about what you are attempting to do by just adding a hex55 module to the installation list. By registering the hex55 module, you are asking the Gateway module to start including the hex55 module in the general CAN bus communication function - in the same way as every other module that has been installed on the car.
Problem is that the car doesn't actually have a hex55 module installed. So the Gateway module keeps polling the hex55 module and it receives no reply - because it ain't connected to the CAN bus!!
Doesn't matter if the diagnostic device is OBD11, or VCDS, or VCP (or any other manufacturer) - if the hex55 module isn't physically installed in the car - nothing can talk to it!!

dv52 (Australia) haha, not what I meant. If VW not include and disable features, we can't use OBD11 properly for these mods. It is still useable for other things. My car has LED headlight, I went to 4B and there are Basic headlamp setting but not active. In another forum, people suggested that I have to apply the setting and then with allen wrench modify the headlight from the hood and then apply the setting. The light just aims too low.

Does anyone know the long coding for all 5 tail lights as brake lights, I’ve looked around for it but cannot see it anywhere.

Notice my step #4, Procedure 1 says "This is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but in your case go to the next step"
So, regardless of whether you change the adjusting screws, or not - Procedure 1 (above) must still be completed as a prerequisite for the module's re-positioning of the headlights on level ground (which is recorded in the module's memory in Procedure 2)

So- the 5 x brake light tweak really only requires changes to 2 x tail lights (because the other 3 x tail-lights are already set-up as brake lights). The tweak instructions depend on what type of tail-lights were installed at the factory (and hopefully remain on the car) - LED, or incandescent lamps?

Hi guys. Newbie here and please bear with me. Before I purchase obdeleven., can anyone confirm that using app for scandanavian drl’s does the number plate light also come on? And if so is there another option for this not to happen? I have a GOLF GTI 2019 . Thank you

On my 2019 R I didn't want lots of lights (including sidelights, dash illumination, number plate lights), just the rear lights on with the front DRLs. So I avoided the Scandi option and just made these changes:
(09) Central Electrics -- Access Code 31347 -- Adaptation
Leuchte 23SL HLC10 -- Lichtfunktion D23 -- nicht aktiv => Tagfahrlicht -- Dimmwert CD23 -- 0 => 127 Leuchte 24SL HRA65 -- Lichtfunktion D24 -- nicht aktiv => Tagfahrlicht -- Dimmwert CD24 -- 0 => 127
Of course, that requires the OBDeleven Pro option to allow coding, but it's a greatly superior choice which avoids the horrible apps.

2019 R USDM. I've had this "issue" since new.
With recirculation OFF, vent at face direction, I'll have air coming out the face vents when blower fan is turned ON. But once the blower fan is turned OFF, there's absolutely no air coming out the face vents, as if it's blocked. On my previous Japanese cars, I'll still have air coming in as the vehicle is traveling.
I noticed the other day is that as soon as I crack open any windows just by a bit, air would start coming out the face vents. When I close the windows, the vents stop blowing again.
What I want is with recirculation OFF, blower OFF, windows all CLOSED, I can have fresh air coming through the vents as I'm driving. Does it sound like something can be coded?
