"highway flash" with fog lights only - to save xenon

ok, the coding was done and the code has to be altered to be complete.
Parts One and Two are quoted and no change was done except text formatting 
Part Three disables the Xenon source while pulling the LH stalk (highway flash or blik)
Coded and tested on MQB OctaviaMk3-5E MY2015 - should work on Golf 7 or clones fitted with xenon front lights.

Option 2: fog-lights are "flashed" together with high-beam lights when the left-hand stalk behind the steering wheel is momentarily pulled towards the driver .
From the main screen select 09-Cent. Elect

When the BMC screen opens, select Security Access-16

Enter the magic number 31347

When the main BCM screen returns, select Adaptation-10

Change the settings in adaptation channels shown in the two Tables below to the "{New Value}":
(9)-Leuchte12NL LB45 / Lichtfunktion D 12 / {not active} change to {Lichthupe generell
}
(10)-Leuchte12NL LB45 / Dimmwert CD 12 / { 0 } change to { 100 }

(11)-Leuchte12NL LB45 / Dimming Direction CD 12 / {maximize} change to {maximize} 

(9)-Leuchte13NL RB5 / Lichtfunktion D 13 / {not active} change to {Lichthupe generell}

(10)-Leuchte13NL RB5 / Dimmwert CD 13 / { 0 } change to  {100}

Notes

Note 1: The channels in the Tables above are about 70% down the list of channels on the VCDS adaptation screen

Note 2: Select the adaptation channels carefully as other channels have similar descriptions

Note 3: If the adaptation channels in the car do not have the "Old Value" indicated in the tables do not proceed with this tweak

Note 4: If LED fog-lights are installed, change adaptation channel (10) on both left and right fog-lights to 127 (instead of "100")

Note 5: Adaptation channels (11) (i.e. last row in the two Tables) should not need to be changed, but the settings should be checked


Part Two:
which actually disables the shutter thing in the light assembly housing that in normal state makes the xenon source to be main beam, and when energized makes the high beam. (tested, the shutters make kind of noise when they change position)

after these two parts we have fog lights and xenon (main beams) flashed together  - because we only disabled the shutters, so>

Part Three:
and that was a little guess-and-check-play but finally it seems to be the right thing. (B is the AlphaChannel for blinking-flashing with left stalk pulled towards the driver)

now, we have no xenon fired and no shutter energized; we have only fog lights flashed!!!
the high beam is used as normal - pushing the left-hand stalk off the driver

and finally as Don wrote: everyone implementing this code "should consider the compliance of this changed arrangement with [his] local road rules".
