Does anyone know if OBDeleven can code a new battery which I’m ready to fit? BMW 335d xDrive 2016 F31. Just plugged in but can’t see how to do it. A Google search suggests Adaptations when doing the same on an Audi. Thanks!

Afraid the support on BMW Is not very good its only supporting certain cars / certain locations and only using one click apps that you pay for.
If you have a look in your apps you should have one called 12v Batter Registration, this tells the system you have a new battery There is a second one on some cars called battery type and capacity (not all cars have this feature as its hard for them to code it) this one you use if you are changing the battery output and different battery type
Sorry missed one point BMW and VAG are different, dont pay attention to any VAG Video's as they are almost certainly not relevant to your motor and certainly currently they dont offer any coding so manual work around's don't exist.

Thanks for that. When you say ‘apps’, do you mean within OBDeleven or elsewhere?
I already have BimmerCode already which can change the battery parameters. I think I need to pay for Bimmerlink to register the new battery to the car.

when you log on to your car you will see apps
select that and you will see all the pre coded options they sell you
select relevant battery option and follow instructions.
hopefully it only cost 10 credits to use this app

Thank you for that. I was just sitting in the car and took another look, and I saw Apps and remembered it from your message. Looking at Apps it has both the registration and coding so that looks exactly what I want. Thank you again. I have plenty of credits having bought the OBDeleven when I had an RS6 so I’m delighted that I can use them on my BMW now.

On the Battery Type and Capacity App, there wasn’t an option for a 95 ah battery so I left it at 90 ah as the next option was 105 ah.

I would raise that with support, afraid I am not an expert on BMW but it may be that these motors need big jumps to be updated, on VAG you type in the actual value.
If its a bug they can add it to the list so that going forward you are able to make the change correctly or explain why you cant code the 95.
