Hello,
Not so long ago i bought light sensor and switch for my golf 7.5 ( retrofited via aliexpress not OEM). I thought i could get LH/CH lights to work with it as well but after some research i figure it out that it is not possible. To do that you have to have pre installed OEM light and rain sensor from the factory in the car so i started to look for some alternatives.
I stumbled on interesting topic that was disccussed in this threat (https://forum.obdeleven.com/thread/9515/coming-home-leaving-rain-sensors) where he pretty much coded fake LH function so tha lights turned on when inner lights in the car turned on (example when locking/unlocking the car).
My questions are: - Is the procedure same if i wanned to code that function in my golf 7.5? - Can the coding be reversed to stock if i dont like it? - Will they turn off when i lock the car?
Im kinda new here so i hope i was clear.
Thanks for any help in advance.

prefatcher : Hi. First, I'm not sure which version of non-OEM light-sensor/switch you installed on the car, but I thought that these "Chinese" units did allow a form of CH/LH functionality. I enclose below an instruction-sheet for one of these non-OEM units. As you can read, unfortunately the words are written in "Chinese English" - but it does purport to have LH option (read "(D)" instructions). I assume that this extends to CH - but this is a guess: Maybe try implementing these steps? Second, regarding your specific questions - my response is below (the the blue bits):
My questions are: - Is the procedure same if i wanted to code that function in my golf 7.5? Maybe - it depends on how your car is factory fitted. Specifically, it depends on what module controls the lights that you want to use for the CH/LH function. On many mk7.5s, the lamps in the headlight assemblies are managed by separate Light Control Modules (LCMs) -these lamps are not managed by the central electrics module. If this is the case on your car - the answer is that my instructions in your link will NOT work. A quick method for checking compatibility of my steps on your car is to confirm the value of the Lasttyp channel for the chosen Leuctch-set - if the value = nicht aktiv, your car has LCMs - Can the coding be reversed to stock if i don't like it? YES- Will they turn off when i lock the car? YES, the faux method that I describe in your link mimics the CH/LH factory function - so it's NOT the same as CH/LH. The lamps that you select to use with my method will operate EXACTLY the same as the internal cabin lamps. This means that when locking the car (this is called "Coming Home" (CH)), the selected lamps will switch off when the cabin light switches off!Don
