Hi folks. Could i get some help with my mk7.5r
Currently the sidemirror dips perfectly as i put it in reverse, and also returns back to exact original position every time, came stock that way.
Only problem is, the threshold for it to return back to original is at 15km/h, which is too much speed if i'm pulling out into traffic, infact i think the best way is for it to return to original as i put it in D back, but i think that would be harder to code.
Anyone can help where can i find this "setting" of 15-16km/h before the sidemirror goes back to original position please?
ie. i would like to set it to 8km/h or so

doule :look at the owner's manual - you should read that the way that the entire rear view camera function switches-off is a combination of time (factory set to 10 seconds) and car forward speed (factory set to 10 km/hr on our cars).
You can change the forward switch-off speed value like this: Go to the parking assistance module-then adaptations-then Switch-off speed for parking assist - change value, but be aware that there is a defined range (5 km/hr-20km/hr IIRC) Don

Thanks dv52.
I think i might not written it the question in a clear manner, as it’s not the reverse cam/view/park assist that’s concerning me.
What i really would like to change is the passenger side-mirror dip-while-reverse gear is engaged thing. More specifically, i want the passenger side-mirror to return to original viewing angle (as opposed to dipped/lowered to check the curb) at an earlier point in time.
It is currently set to return to normal viewing angle at 15-16km/h.

double: No need to re-state your question - the error was entirely mine!! I clearly had a brain-fart - for an unknown reason, I linked the shut-off speed for reverse mirror dip to the shut-off speed for the Park Pilot. Clearly these are different. As you say, the passenger mirror returns when the car is driven forwards faster than approximately 15 km/h (9 mph)! Other than moving the rotary knob out of position R (to another position), I suspect that the shut-off speed is hard coded into the passenger door module! Don
