Good afternoon, I'm a new user of OBDEleven and I have a Golf GTD 7.5 (7 FL) Estate (or 'Variant' as OBDEleven appear to call it). I have a Pro subscription. I've made a few changes using the apps - my main issue with the car was the wooden throttle which has now been largely resolved with the 'throttle response' app however the other issue I bought this for still remains. . . I've read a number of posts and searched but I'm unable to find a definitive answer on how to disable interior monitoring. My use case is I frequently have a dog in the car and I'm growing tired of having to navigate the MMI in order to disable interior monitoring every time I park up. Given the Mk7.5 lost the button on the B pillar I'm surprised there isn't an app already for this (apart from the one which appears to be geared towards enabling the basic alarm on base model cars where it wasn't originally enabled). Anyway, I've tried the adaption route and the one post I could find which seemed to be what I was looking for (dated 2016) didn't work for me, the option wasn't there. I've looked in Central Electrics, found the Interior Monitoring settings but the only applicable setting I can see to change is the sensitivity (which isn't quite the same as disabling it), but when I tried to alter the value it stated anything from 0 - 255 however no decimal number I tried worked? Does anyone have any detail on how to disable the interior motion sensor without disabling the remaining functions of the alarm? Thanks in advance.

Not 100% sure but have you tried double pressing the lock button? (Don’t do it so quick) as that normally disables deadlock and alarm, Or with keyless lock the car with the key fob and then re lock with the door handle (or the other way round, can’t remember which)

andreamala : Hi. On older model hex09 modules that had an active long-code string, there was a software switch for disabling internal monitoring (Byte 12, Bit 7). However, these switches were eliminated on newer model modules (which I suspect is installed on your mk7.5). Anyhow, try this: Central electrics module - adaptation- search for "theft" - select Anti-theft device - select Sensor_fuer_Innenraumueberwachung (sensor_for_interior_monitoring) - change to No -if prompted for a security code, enter 31347

Good morning, vwjap - thanks for the reply and I was aware of the 'transport mode' workaround but I don't want to disable other elements of the security system. dv52 (Australia) - thanks for the reply. Yours was the post I'd found from 2016 which detailed what to do on an earlier car so you've clearly been at this a while! I'll try what you suggest and respond with how I get on.

dv52 (Australia) Many thanks for the guidance, I've just been able to change that value to No and with the assistance of my dog I've been able to test it and it appears to have worked. The OBDEleven app reported some waffle about 'unable to add to history' (which disappeared before I could read it) but I assume that's not a problem (it was also reporting issues communicating and took an age to load the module page which had me worried for a bit. . .) Thanks again.
