E series is not supported by OBDeleven yet.
Due to significant differences in how E-series and other BMW models’ control units are programmed, we decided to focus on features and One-Click Apps for F, G, and Iseries. We will continue monitoring the situation regarding the need to support E-series vehicles in the future.

There is a huge community in modding / coding the e-series, really hope it will be added soon.

I agree, there is a huge following for the E series for modding.. I bought the obdeleven for my e39, not realizing I can't use it like my other obdeleven I have for my VW GTI..

Purchased this dongle for my VW only because there were news about plans to support BMWs. Now it turns out that My E38 will have to wait. Fingers crossed.

Dont get your hopes up.
History of OBD11 has been partial releases and then long waits for next phase (eg E series) and they still have not completed the IOS Development on VAG yet.
But I would be very happy to be proved wrong.
