^^rumcajz: hmm......... think about what you have written from the perspective of those trying to help you. I'm sure that you are completely knowledgeable with your car and the problem that you are trying to solve - but for those of us that are reading your post, ALL we know is that the car is NAR model (North American Region)and that somewhere on one, or more of the 35 x exterior lights there is a "error light front".
Now, I completely empathize if you are a non English speaking person - but we need a little more information (even if you provide the extra data in your native language).
So - tell us more about what changes you made to the lights on the car - which lights are you referring-to and what type of lights and what error messages are you getting on your scan report - please?

Don it looks like he swapped normal bulbs for LED now he gets the error message John: hmm..... but there are 35 x different lights on a mk7. I could assume that "error light front" means somewhere on the low-beams, or high beams, or DRLs, or Parking lights, or front fog lights (or any other front lamps) - but which ones? I've learned from bitter experience that it's better to not assume and head down the wrong path - only to be told later that it's a different lamp!
As you know, lamp error monitoring on a mk7 is not like the same facility on previous Golfs like the mk6 (say). On MQB platform vehicles, it's specific to the individual lamp (or, to be more precise it's specific to the individual pin on the BCM).
But thanks for the attempt at clarification!

I have a Golf 7 GTI NAR, I changed lamps at the front to European (GTI). Marker light error, because we do not have them in Europe, daytime running lights (LED). I have OBDeleven and I don't know in which channel to turn off the bulb checking function. Please forgive my language is in a beginner stage

In adaptations, search for channels Leuchte2SL VLB10-Lasttyp 2 and Leuchte3SL VRB21-Lasttyp 3 and set them both to 'not active'.

I have a 2015 GTI that I have retrofitted with mib high2 and a digital cockpit. It is gorgeous, but I seem to have lost cruise control (probably because AID uses ACC, for which my car does not have the hardware). So I am trying to get back my old style CC, but have no idea where to look. I know there is an app in OBD11 to turn ACC off, but it says that it does not apply to my car (probably because I don't have the hardware). Any suggestions as to where I can look to make coding changes to restore classic cc?
Thanks in advance

In the dashbaord, byte 04 bit 02 is acc. Nothing to code for cc, as this info is coming from the gateway.

Hey Everyone I need some help. have a 17 GTI Sport with standard incandescent tails and have implemented the 5 brake light mode on the car. However saw another coding on Golfmk7 forum about coding these lights so that the inner and outer work as both stop lights and brake lights. The coding was done for a 17 GSW. I assume the tails on GSW and the GTI are the same? Can anyone confirm or send me the coding for doing what I have described? Thanks

^^^^^^Steve: Hi. So-lets get a common understanding of terms. I think that I understand the term "Brake" light. What precisely do you mean by "Stop" light and if you are referring to the rear tails illuminating when the car isn't moving and the driver has not pressed the brake pedal - is this road legal on a car in the country where you drive?

Don, Thanks, yes Brake and stop light is the same to me. What I have read on the GolfMK7 forum is someone with a 17 Golf Sport Wagen coding the rear incandescent tails such that when the brake/stop light pedal is pressed than both the inner and outer tails will illuminate (5 brake light mod does this) but also that both the inner and outer tails will work together when signaling for turn and all four work together for the flashers. I am in the US and I do not believe that if I can get this that it would be illegal. I am pretty sure that either Urban Joke version would.

So, if I can translate your American accent - I think that you want the inner tail lights to behave exactly how the outer lights were factory programmed?
The easiest way to do this (not surprisingly) is to copy the settings from the outer right-side lamp onto the inner right-side lamp and separately to do the same on the left-side of the car
When doing this, DON'T change the settings for these channels: - Lampendefektbitposition
- Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC
The Leuchte-sets are these: Copy Leuchte20BR LA71 onto Leuchte23SL HLC10 (left-side), and Copy Leuchte21BR RC8 onto Leuchte24SL HRA65 (right-side)

Don, Okay so that is what I have understood from another post. What about changes to Lasttp 20:23 and 21:24? These do not get changed either? Have one spreadsheet showing Lasttyp 20:21 being respectively, 13 Bremsleuchten or 14 Kombinierte Blink - Bremsleuchten; whereas Lasttyp 24:23 are the same: 9allgemeine Gluhlampe 27W, auch H15. The 13 Bremsleuchten description was given by someone doing this to a 17 GSW NAR. Thanks again for the help. Probably just need to get into the system and see what these are currently for my car. Thanks for the additional help!

^^^^ As I said, copy 20 onto 23 and 21 onto 24 (including lasttyp setting) and try not to overthink the task - it ain't rocket science!! Don

It may not be rocket science, but you can still screw up things pretty easily as seen by the number of posts on this forum, so just trying to be clear about what to change since I have seen two different descriptions of what is in lasttyp for a mk7.

^^^steve: Of course you are correct - apology for my careless reference to "rocket science". It is indeed prudent to carefully proceed with the changes.

anyone know if the lights behind the INTERIOR door handle be coded to illuminate whenever the red door ambient light strips are illuminated? I don’t have automatic headlights, so the red lights are only on when the switch is turned to parking, or low beams. I would like the interior handle lights to operate in the same way, rather than just when a door is opened

Hi people, Am new to this thing but thought i still seek assistance. I was making changes to my car to achieve Light Assist through these steps >> www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/finally-got-high-beam-assist-light-assist-working.335502/But in the process where i am to make changes at Byte 2 under Central Electronics i clicked the wrong bits and saved the changes by accident. Turns out, this is the first time something has happened to me when i had not taken a screenshot of how it was originally configured. I now have Light Assist and Dynamic Bend Lighting in my infotainment system but i doubt its working and i am also worried that i might have messed up something under this byte hence would like to change it to "Bi-Xenon with Light Assist" accordingly. OBDeleven has no descriptors under this byte making it highly confusing. Anyone with a 2014 MK7 Golf Variant Highline could assist by capturing their Central Electrics > Byte 2. The vehicle is equipped with Bi-Xenons with Light Assist (assumption since i notice them swivel up and down and side to side at startup). Screenshot of what my Byte 2 looks like is as below drive.google.com/file/d/17jzh65H2FiIblANlboiLwBuAWaLyN751/viewVIN: WVWZZZAUZFPxxxxxx Car: Volkswagen Golf SportWagen Year: 2015 Body type: Variant Engine: CHPA 103 kW (140 HP) 1.4 l Mileage: 106976 KM Thanks guys!

paulmk7 (banned) Go back to the module list (where you find adaptions and long coding) then scroll down to history, go in there and see what your original long coding was (or just byte 2, 5&6 number from the left) and re enter that in, simples

Thats great vwjap ! Found it in the backup i took sometime back. Sorry, out of panic this didn't cross my mind. But and a huge BUT, since OBDeleven isnt describing my selection how will i be sure i have set it to "Bi-Xenon with Light Assist"? Just asking if there is a way to be certain.

Well if you take the original backup the it will put it back to how it left the factory, I haven’t done this mod as I have dynamic LED’s so can’t really help with that

Hi, is there any info, what this PreCrash is, and why is it disabled.

Two ideas: You didn't buy precrash (Proactive Protection). That is the feature that will close your windows and roof and tightens your seatbelts when there is the chance to crash. Other idea: It is just a setting in the OBD database, but that setting does not match your ACC sensors hardware, therefore it is disabled. Database files are created by VW for more than one sensor at a time. The OBD devs can only import them as they are.

Test was done on a snowy road and i was making a fool stop with max braking, and it closed the windows and tightens my seatbelt.

2015 VW Golf SportWagen TDI (North America)
The convenience window app (all down/up with remote key fob) says it doesn't work with my model. Is this an error? I have the Kessy keyless entry fobs.

Hi I am trying to activate CH / LH in Golf 2016 Comfortline Sport Mex Package ( without sensor light sensor) , Will someone have the necessary coding for CH / LH without a light sensor? I already provided several methods but none really works ... or activate through the door
P.d. I have the new generation of the OBDeleven
