Dear OBDEleven team,
when I try to change the service to VW Diagnostic Mode within 09 Central Electrics, I always get a (12) Function not available error.
Is this error in any way related to the security access? Any ideas on how to fix the (12) error?
I've searched google and obdeleven forums but cannot find an explanation / solution.
Thank you in advance! Alex

asak I am afraid you are very unlikley to get a response from support team, this is a user community forum. It would help people to help you if you could confirm what phone operating system you are using and what car you are trying to make the changes on.

Thanks for coming back to me. I guess it was addressed more towards the community in general . My model is a vw Passat NMS 2017 and I am using the app on an Android phone.

Afraid I dont know your motor but I do know that at times OBD11 Android gets itself all confused in very odd ways.
Just try doing a cache clear of the app on your phone and see if that helps.

Swiss320 just to confirm are you opening the bonnet when doing any changes if not then try it, Secondly have you set up your SFD Stuff correctly (eg have you been able to code before). if you have a read of this thread forum.obdeleven.com/post/37041 you will see support suggested going into Advanced ID First before doing anything else. On some spanish sites this issue has been solved with not only doing the cache clear but a) closing as many apps as possible just running OBD11 and anything else you have no choice over b) Delete the app and reinstall (some have had to do this multiple times)

First of all, thank you very much for the answer. I know the procedure from the OBDApp. So I always open the hood. It is possible for me to deactivate the SFD protection and to code it in other parameters. Only in some parameters e.g. "Leuchte 2 SL VL B20" is not possible for me to program. Now I have read in the FAQ of OBD11 that some parameters are related to others and therefore can not be changed. I will try the tip with the Advanced Identification as a test.
Thanks
