Well the BMW story is interesting, as OBD11 Still have not completed IOS Roll out I expect more of what we have seen in the past with IOS with BMW Release. However on the VCDS forum today there was yet another article about BMW Charging users a subscription to enable features on the car or you can just pay to own the feature. Question is if this is going to be the norm (and VAG have already said its in the plans) then where does that leave the OBD11 Offering as i cant see car manufacturers allowing third party apps to enable features they want to sell via in car shop ota (over the air) update....
I know its early days but I also dont see as many tweaks for the new MQBEvo platform cars vs there predecessors so its becoming a different proposition.
Today they published some more post's on Facebook, one was taken down, the second was about the monthly release of one click apps. My personal fav's were
And another unhappy user

What Voltas needs to realize: customers don't like to be scammed, and the current situation does obviously feel like that for a lot of them - myself included (massive increase in prices while at the same time cutting the option to obtain free credits; all this done in a sneaky way without any communication or meaningful explanation). Neither repeating meaningless copy&paste statements nor belatedly inventing some never heard about temporary status of free credits do really help their matter. If they want anybody to still prefer their products over the competition, Voltas really should think about changing their communications strategy now and give their (future) customers some insight into what to expect. This may include (but is not limited to) topics like - Will there ever be some expiry of available credits?
- Is Voltas up to more creative commercial moves in conjunction with the upcoming BMW support (like present VAG credits not working, Ultimate++ license required, you name it)?

If instead of a FREE CREDIT they made a FRAUD-FREE LIFETIME LICENSE PRO, many people would be satisfied because without PRO it is an overpriced dtc reader and for coding after the expiration of the PRO version I will take a VCDS or a Car scanner which costs less than 10 Credits.

I fully agree with you but Voltas have a history (8 years) of not doing this, The History of IOS Upgrade (which is still not sorted) shows us that they do not learn from mistakes.
I suspect they are relying on the SFD feature and the new user community of BMW and maybe they think they can compete against caristaappapp in the basic model.
However they once again have not done a good job.

A month ago, when I bought obdeleven, I recommended it to everyone, now I am warning everyone and I am not the only one, warnings are already appearing on other forums, so let's hope for Voltas in the next 8 years, an outflow of customers and zero profits.

Saw this today and sums it up OH JOY THE ARE HAVING A SALE So as you can see you save 43% = EUR 77.97 According to my maths (very poor i will admit) the sum of the parts = EUR 137.96 and they are selling it for 99.99 so i reckon you save EUR 37.97 ROUGHLY 27.5%
BUT the difference is you get two years pro license not one..... and to get the 77.97 saving the second year is only eur 40.00

In a year they will change the conditions and the license will no longer be valid, I no longer trust it, it is surely a scam again.

In fairness to Voltas they have offered these packages before and there has never been a problem. Whilst the company has not handled the changes well I do not believe they would deliberately falsify a product sale. They often have these sales and it's a great way to change the narrative about the product.
Update
Web team have now updated the price of the 2 year Pro Plan to 89.99 so the figures now tie up - just a shame it takes users to point out errors.

1st of all I do not think the guys from Voltas should change their Logo to the Ukrainian Flag! Seems like none of the european Idi*ts knows what is really going on, but showing loyality to a crazy President who is killing all his own people is very important. Remove the flag and stay loyal to your own costumers!!!!
Removing the free credits means that also for a simple oil service reset I need to start to PAY! This is sh*t! You anyway recieve mony for the shown Advertisement! Stop milking your customers!
I start to hate the app and Voltas. No more recommondation to any friends... So in some time, your income is gone.... Better think about your next moves, otherwise youre done...

You don’t need OBD11 to reset the oil service or inspection reminders, can do it without any tools using the display in the vehicle. Procedure is in the manual or many resources/videos online that describe how to do it. I agree with your comments about Voltas’ latest strategy to “milk” users, however if you purchased it only for the function of resetting the reminders - that would be a waste of money. …just say’n. I agree with most users out there, I did recommend this to all my friends with a VAG vehicle, now I won’t bother. Why remove the free credits all together? Even if they limited it to just 1 per day for loading the app would be one thing!
I looked at VCDS before but that option was too expensive, however, given the current costs it looks more like a viable option. Such a shame that one decision has caused such an upset with owners of this device and there is no mention of any revisions of that decision. If it was a ploy to improve profits as displayed earlier in the thread, I predict it will have the opposite effect all together.
I understand how they say companies need to change their business plan to suit the current situation etc due to the cost of living reducing profits, but do they really think customers have more money to dispose on this device? The consumers pockets have been hit from other directions forcing other priorities to take a precedence. The reviews will most likely fall, thus causing a drive in loss of sales and revenue, I hope this can be foreseen and reversed before it becomes to late?

I would suggest the NEW Pro buyers would now consider looking at VCDS from a price perspective as the yearly fee will change people's mind I would also wonder if the Ultimate package can continue in its current setup as its very expensive in comparison to Pro and offers very little for most users.
For the Basic users (for people who just want to do resets to those who want to have coding done for them) they will now look much more closely at the likes of caristaapp and there are plenty of other dongles that do DTC Errors.
I also think for the new prices the level of Technical support needs to improve.
But on the positive OBD11 Still is the only mainstream SFD unlocker but at the same time the number of tweeks that can be done from what I have seen is much less so not sure if this in the long term is going to be the winner they hoped.
Time as they say will tell.

They are not the only ones in SFD (https://vctool.app/) but they are when it comes to customer fraud.

Agreed they are not the Only SFD provider and there are others (both legal and dodgy) but for the basic type user they are back to having to pay a license fee and fees for one click apps.

Obdeleven is a nicely made application, but the greed of Voltas has turned it into a dtc reader, I'm going back to VCDS unless there are better conditions and not just payment, I hope a lot of customers will do it

just when Voltas thought it had died down
Facebook from latest obd11 post
Jack Albertson I would love to see the free points for watching ads back as this was a great feature rather than having to now be a pay wall just for the points to do coding. When/can this be brought back to the app? 9 hEdited Andrew Cummings Jack Albertson Everyone agrees apart from OBDeleven 8 h Jack Albertson I'm sure they get ad revenue from it aswell so it was a win win points for us and money/ads for them 8 h Author OBDeleven Hey, Jack,
The credits were a limited offer for our users. me not sure we were ever told that
8 h Jack Albertson OBDeleven any way of them coming back in time as this was great for the smaller users tk do things to their own vehicles 8 h Cristi-Adrian Nechita If you see one add, they receive 2c, if you buy 1 credit they receive 26.8c. This is math.... 7 h Brian Collins Where has the daily bonus credit gone to? 🤔
Gadleft Meunfinishd OBDeleven your answer is simply misleading: the ad based credit was a feature for any user even not owning the OBD dongle. and you removed it like you removed multi vehicles in garage and nothing justify all of this except greediness and you will see it backfiring (just look at how many angry reacts are in every post since you applied all these policies

Just opening this thread again as we have just had a limited edition Halloween pack that gave you 35% off (whilst its off the product page its still shown on obdeleven.com/en/home/260-halloween-special-pack.html ). That finished at Lunch time and now we have the Special Winter Offer giving 32% off a bigger package with the accessories thrown in that runs for 2 months till Jan 2023 The BMW App only does Basic plan and is still missing some very basic items like the Ability to Share data, History in the BMW App (its in the VAG App), No live data etc and just to add to the fun the obdeleven.com/en/home/261-winter-special-pack.html? does not even show the full range of BMW Motors they say they support on other pages. Could one presume that all is not well on the sales front, so the special offers keep coming to try and increase business.
And just to add to the fun, the first post on the facebook page says "please return the daily bonus option"

Post by whataboutthis on Nov 29, 2022 15:23:15 GMT
Good Heavens no,
Offer them lots of advise (because they have many issues with the web pages) but the point of this thread is (for me) to show firstly there are deals going if anybody is looking for them,
Secondly to point out even when the deals run out you still have 5 days to take advantage
Thirdly and main point is in the new world how many back to back offers they are having to put up to make sales and you can read that in lots of different ways
If you read my BMW Post you will also see that as usual they have released a very limited BETA Version and in my view the product will suffer now because they will be focusing on that when they have not completed the IOS release and there are some major things needed sorting on the Android side.
