I bought a hat for the raspberry pi with ODBII, specifically the PICAN2, in order to play with the CAN BUS. First I will try econ the ODB and if I don't get clear results because the gateway gets dumb I will have to access the Comfort BUS through a door lock or something like that. My purpose is to be able to send orders to the comfort bus and open doors, turn on lights, open windows, send notifications etc... I open the thread in case someone is interested in this type of cacharreo and joins it. Greetings !!!

I wish you good luck so I'm afraid it's just lost. Can you imagine all the lines of code to decode to successfully open a door remotely from a pc? in addition to the SFD or other security that Volkswagen has added to avoid cyber theft. To say that it is only with the next 3.0 update that it will only be possible to lock or unlock the car remotely from the application... If you really get there, hats off! But hey, I'm interested if you come up with something with your equipment and it makes sense, I'll do it too if it works well. Goodbye.

If you access it via the car's ODB connector, you will have all the difficulties you are talking about, because the gateway takes care of security and access to the different CAN networks in the car. But if you access the comfort bus from the door lock control unit itself you are bypassing the gateway and will be able to access all the infotainment messages. That's what I want to check first and see if we have that gateway so we can get access to that data. I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers.

Ok but I believe that the lock is where the security changes if the program is messed up to avoid copying the key in a parking lot when closing the car.
