Hi, to everyone. First of all we apologize for this issue, not always we have access to all available units to test it. This issue affect some control units so it is temporary removed from one click apps section. To fix this issue you will need to follow this steps: Go to Comfort control unit (46) > security access > enter 16017 > adaptation > channel 188 set new value as 1 > channel 190 set new value as 1021 > go back > security access 20971 > change diagnostic session to development > clear trouble codes

Thanks Admin. I'm sure this will clear up many issues that folks are experiencing. Is there a way to document in the same way you did above, what the various APPs are actually doing? The reason for this is that there are some features for the newer cars like the MK6 Golf that there are no APPs for in the MK5, but I know that the same functionality can be enabled. change diagnostic session to development > clear trouble codes Shouldn't one be able to clear error codes using the normal diagnostic session?

The price of the obdeleven has no relation to its functionality, the developers could have charged 500 for it if they wished. The fact remains, even if it only costs one cent, it must be capable of doing what is advertised, have reasonable support and if it causes damage then the people who made it are responsible.

it must be capable of doing what is advertised, I don't see any advertisements / claims for Ross-Tech - like support. and if it causes damage then the people who made it are responsible. Just like any other product, I'm sure there are disclaimers warning end-users that there are no guarantees and to proceed at your own risk. Holding OBDeleven responsible for a user initialed action, is unreasonable. Admin admitted to a simple mistake, explained the situation, and even went as far as to remove the invalid APP from the menu so that no one else makes the same mistake. Matt, what you are basically saying is that we should hold gun manufacturers responsible when an inexperienced user shoots themselves in the foot (just because the trigger came with a label saying "squeeze me"). The price of the obdeleven has no relation to its functionality I wasn't talking about functionality. I was talking about "support". If I paid you 1-cent per hour, would it cover your personal expenses so that you can in turn give 24-hour support to answer every single question or issue that I have with my car? We all buy these tools, because we don't want to have to do through the dealer when we can do it ourselves. If you ask around, folks buy OBDeleven because they can't afford Ross-Tech's VCDS. Matt, I do recall the discussion you and I had about the throttle-body-calibration for your MK4 Golf. That is something that needs to be addressed, but you have to remember that the OBDelven app is still a work in progress and will be updated when you point these bugs out to Admin and the development team.

was copying the code from a car with led rear lights...... That's a huge No-No. As you've realized, the modules can be different among the same model car. Do you have the original coding for your car when you did the initial scan? I'll soon post a link from the Ross-Tech Wiki for you to follow wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A4/S4/RS4_(8K)

wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A4_(8K)_Comfort_SystemRead the above link. It appears you DELETED your keys resulting in your car not being able to start. If that's the case, then only your dealer can help you at this point. If you still had 1 working key, then you would use VAG-Tacho to get your unique PIN to program other keys (transponders) to work with your car. If your dealer can't help you, then you have to buy a set of keys including key-barrel, door locks, immobilizer and dashboard cluster from a donor vehicle to get your car started again. The downside is that your VIN will now be that of the donor car in some cases. I'm sorry that you have to go through this difficulty. Here in Jamaica, that would be an expensive repair bill as everything for my car can only come from VW Germany.
