Been crawling several boards and even trying some things myself... As far as I can see it's a software thing from the manufacturer via a dealer and most dealers either don't want to or don't know how to get the update

justbaldchris welcome to OBD11 Fourum, I see you have also joined seatcupr.net good places to get information. With regards to your car are you running a Pre or Post facelift car as some of the coding has changed My understanding (and very happy to be proved wrong) is the sports menu is a dealer only activated option you cant code this, If you are pre facelift then check out obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/764/coding-adaptations for some things you can do. Cheers.

Yes any car after mid 2016 is considered at facelift, the big difference for OBD11 is that VAG Group decided to change the setup of the electronics, so some of the coding that worked on my car will also work on yours others do not I am afraid. There is coding but its not the same so you have to do a bit of work to find the answers. If you check out here this is were the facelift stuff is kept, I started a section for all the changes that were new and the ones that do here obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/1887/coding-adaptions so this may help. There are also a number of people on the cupra.net site that can help as well. You can also check out VCDS coding its very easy once you get used to it to adapt into OBD11, If you need any help just shout.

Hi,
I've a Leon MK3 1.4 TSI FR Plus and I've tried to activate Sport Menu but doesn't work I've checked spanish forum clubseatleon.net and they said me that function requires a SWAP code activation
There's a way to active it with OBD Eleven?
Thank you

ducktoy are you saying that somebody has found a way around the swap protection (which is a code linked to your VIN number).
My understanding is that you can't enable it with OBD11.
Further you cant remove any component protections using OBD11

Hi everyone & anybody who is interested in the Sport menu. After long investigation and reading numerous forums, it appears that the so called Sport menu is actually called “Sport HMI”. It is a program feature a.k.a (FEC, SWaP) software-as-product. “Sport HMI” cannot be activated via OBDEleven nor VCDS. Other types of SWaP are Mirror Link, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and many more. Some Russian guys have managed to crack this thing and found a way to enable all the available features at once via some product key code / serial generator. I have contacted one of them, and he replied that, this is a secret and he is not willing to share it. He also suggested that if I want, I can send him the MIB unit and he will activate everything and send it back to me. Anyway I hope that someone will find a way to open thous features. P.s - I have read that some of the dealers can activate this feature, but only if they are willing to help, and thats a big if. Good luck everybody

Just get yourself Torque Pro and then you can configure the output how you want it.
Much cheaper and easier than paying a stealer to enable it or sending it of to eastern europe to be fixed.

The whole idea is that it will be displayed on the 8” screen What bothers me and I think all of us is that I know its there, just sitting there and waiting to be enabled Anyway Torque Pro is the way to go at this time

I thought you could download Torque Pro to your head unit or display your phone apps on the 8" screen
Yes I understand that but in reality all the coding for all the options is there so you have full heated seat functions (bottom and back) but the hardware is not the joy for me of OBD11 is being able to turn stuff on thats free. Until VAG Change that anyway (as they have done with VIM on the Audi range).

You can’t download apps to the head unit.
As for the Screen Mirroring, I have tried to display (mirror) various obd apps via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay but they are not supported, and can’t be displayed on the mib screen.
Apps have to be approved by Google and Apple to be mirrored. Torque PRO is not one of them.

Sorry no never looked into it as I have no interest in this function.
If you look on forums.seatcupra.net or any of the closed Leon Facebook groups you will find people who have details.

I was finally able to run the Offroad List without losing smartlink by activating ...byte 24..bit2..
