Hey Guys, Yesterday i retrofitted the front light bar. I know that there is a setting to enable a light animation (Led strip and DRL light up before headlights when walking to the car) Does somebody know how to enable this option ?  |

Thanks Tos, I did a quick search but couldn't find it. I really don't know where I should be looking for.... There's no ''animation'' in your coding to be found.

You have to try this www.diffchecker.com/Copy your own obd11 backup from central electric to txt file. They upload both files to that page, it shows differences |

Right, this all is done in the Scenes Coding and very likely locked in the Dataset.
I am actually wondering if we are talking about the entry in the MMI or the animation itself sparing out the bar.
I would assume that the animation feature is not linked to the lightbar and avaliable in general (probably the market might restrict it) but I am happy to be proved wrong.
After all, the animation in the Golf is incredibly poor, compared to the other MQBw and MQB. It is just dimming up all parking lights and door handle lights and after that directly turning on the low beam at 100%

So little update... didn't have much time last weekend. But no luck so far. I will keep you guys posted if i find something...
I was looking at the 4B (Multifunciton) Module there was something about animation there, or this is tottalt something else i dont know

Anybody find out how to do this? I have Light Animation in the Exterior lighting settings menu but it’s greyed out?

I coded it into mine. Although it doesn’t actually do anything because it’s missing the actual dataset. You can be all cool and have it in the menu tho.

Got it to work but the lightbar doesn't come on with the DRL's. The light bar turns on with the headlights.
I'm guessing there's more coding that needs to be done somewhere.

So the light bar should actually fade on first then the drls then headlights will turn on with the mirror lights and such. At least that is how I have them coded. As well as that is how factory has them setup.

I cant seem to change any of the "Leuchte" channel what so ever |

Safecode? No just an SFD Unlock works. Try restarting your device, app, and clear the app cache. Make sure the hood is open etc. Only a few of the Leuchte channel sets are unable to be changed due to them being locked down such as 23 and 24 as well as anything having to do with the headlights.

You can change appropriate channels only if the dataset on the Central electrics allows it. If the SFD is unlocked properly and you still cannot change the values, you need another dataset uploaded to the CU to enable these features. Chnages are mostly restricted for front light bar channels, blinker channels, LCM and LWR adaptation channel etc.
