Hi. I don't know how much my answer will help.
I have purchased an audi a6 c7 from 2012 and the maps have not been updated since then. I manged to update my maps to 2021 online with the help of somebody. He is licensed to do this kind of updates and didn't via team view online. It cost me 50 euro. Everything works as it should.
