Someone (maybe developer?) who can help me with this?
VW has made the most strange decision in taking away the Car button and Car Menu from infotainment in the Sharan (same stupid decision for the Seat Alhambra). My car dealer told me that it is done because the hardware wiring makes impossible to have that menu. But as I suspected it has turn out to be bullshit since I have managed to access the menu (see my Sharan thread obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/1162/coding-adaptations)
The problem is that I have to do a several steps procedure (going twice in "secret" Testmode menu) in order to access the Car Menu and everything goes away as soon as I press radio, media or whichever other button.
I really need the car icon to appear in the main menu. Does anyone know how to control which icons show or don't show up in the main menu? I'm afraid it might be something more complicated than just coding or adaptations.
When I go into Feature Flags in HMI Debug menu I can see that the flag isSDS_DIALOG_CAR_ has value False and the other isSDS_DIALOG_XXXX_ corresponding to active icons in the main menu have value True. To get into Car Menu I select Valet Parking Mode in Testmode menu. In the beginning Car Menu is quite empty but functional, I've already added many options there by changing Adaptations in 5F.
