I don't know, but this topic interests me a lot!
Hope someone can find a solution here?
In addition the problem is, in my opinion, it is necessary to have already installed the speaker on the MIB 3 to find the right menu or coded

It cannot encode the rear speakers because the speakers and cables are not installed. I don't know the coding either. There is a cable, horn and dongle kit with coding at Kufatec.com

Thank you for your response, I know the solution provided by Kufatec.com, except that the installation is not plug & play, you have to find a partner with GEKO access. I can't find anyone in France to find out who has GEKO access here.
As I said it is necessary that the speakers are at least connected to the MIB to start to find a solution.
But if you have the documentation that would help us maybe to find what to modify it would have been better

I have retrofitted the rear speakers. Added Channel 1 & 4 that was missing. But no sound from them. In fader i still cant turn it to the back.
Checked coding with an id4 that had speakers. It has the same codes in 8125.
Anyone made it?

No, I don't think so yet, have you checked to see if the fader function is activated in one of the menus?

No answer yet, but some clues
In module 3 (infotainment)-Function configuration Audio- channel 1 HT- set to installed repeat for channel 1 TT, channel 4 HT, channel 4 TT
This generated new errors error-rear right treble speaker - open circuit (channel 1) error-rear left treble speaker - open circuit (channel 4)
installing the other 20 channels did not generate any other errors.
I'm a little confused by the error as I have a speaker simulator wired in to the rear channels.
For many other VWs module 5F (multimedia) is where speakers are set in byte 4 3C -> 2 channels, 4 speakers. BE -> 4 channels, 6 speakers. FF -> 4 channels, 8 speakers. but mine is set to 00 by default - maybe it isn't used.
I also found in "module 3 (infotainment)-audio zone configuration" zones 3 & 4 can be set to "back row" and left/right.

Sorry for long replytime. The fader is activated when you activate the Channel 1 & 4 TT. The hood needs to be open when you do the coding.
Nothing else has to be adapted.

Hi and really thank you very much for this ultimate info! really it would be great if you could write us the full path for the coding? Open the front cover --> Unit 8125 --> Settings --> Function configuration Audio --> --- ? ---> --?--
I think I understand but I would really like to be sure, some coding before I do it in the car, please

Could you please walk us through how you activate what? I really do not understand what to do. This is the only page I find regarding speakers. No "TT" or "HT" mentioned in this thread. "Anpassning" is swedish for adaption.

Adaptations 8125 Function_configuration_audio
Channel 4 TT activate Channel 1 TT activate
HT is high tone and should be Inactive on CH 1 and 4.

Does anyone have information on the connection of the speaker cables to ICAS ? For example, by buying the kit for the rear speakers from Kufatec: HEREYou will have the complete instructions for installing the cables in the car. I have what you are asking for at home but it is a private document, which I have no right to share (there is my name and my address in watermark on all the pages)

Sorry for Long reply time… But i figured it out.
8125
Function_configuration_audio Channel 1 TT Activate Channel 4 TT Activate
Signal_Flow_topology from 15 to 25
That is the trick. Hood Open during all coding.
After coding hold powerbutton on screen to restart system. Then everything is Ok.

Still trying to work this out, I fitted focal speakers with separate tweeters so channels 1 & 4 I activated HT, also on the Cupra born I found out that topology needs to be set to “0” and not 25 But I have a missing data when I apply anything other than 15. Also the EQ screen has 5 channels and it only works on 3 but it sounds fantastic 😆 Just need to try find what we’re missing on the born to finish this off.

I have activated channels 1 and 4 Ht, and topology from 15 to 25 but I have an implausible data set error.
Does anyone from the factory have speakers on the back, but not with a sound system, to put all the channels from the adaptations for us?
