Hello guys,
I’ve been using OBDEleven for a few years now for smaller adjustments and now was the time to join the forum I guess.
So I purchased a 2021 T-Cross (1.5l TSI, 150hp) last month and wanted to activate Adaptive Lane Guidance for the Lane Assist System.
The coding: - Point of Intervention - early setting over menu - Configuration of lane departure warning Kl15- last setting - lane assist system mode - Selection over menu
The coding was accepted without an issue, but now whenever I turn on my ACC the Lane Assist immediately prompts me to take over the steering. I have both hands on the wheel and I also tried wiggling the wheel left to right, but the prompt keeps coming up (It goes on and off constantly).
Is this a know issue with Adaptive Lane Guidance or is there something missing in my coding? Can provide more Infos if needed.
Any help would be appreciated.

The option that is to be retroactively coded here is normally included in the factory equipped travel assist.
This then also includes a so called capacitive steering wheel in newer model year cars like yours. This special steering wheel is obviously missing in your car and it's the probable reason why the steering wheel takeover request keeps coming up.

Hello guys, Thanks for the reply! Here are the readings from my CUs
13: 30 05 67 03 48 FF 87 48 94 9C 81 05 80 50 87 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 04
A5: 00 00 08 90 11 C8 C0 20 80 9F 00 00 10 20 00 20 00 01 80 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
For the other questions: I did not activate travel assist anywhere, so the system should not ask for a cap. steering wheel right? I checked and cap. wheel was set to false everywhere.

Try to upload a picture from PC . I need a picture from A5 unit to be sure what is going on. Although try to change in: A5 unit - Long coding Hc_Variante from 0 to 1 or opposite. You can even try all values one by one. Don't forget to inform us about the result !

Ok so I’ve managed to upload a picture from my phone. the HC variant didn’t solve the problem. It still prompts constantly. Here are the settings for the A5 unit: might need a second post for the rest…

Try point of intervation Late setting over menu. I think that from pictures missing some commands like AAG, SWA, ACC... take a picture also from them on A5 unit. And i will take a look again. If Late setting over menu, wont make it try also Hc_Warn_Intensity from No_setting to Weak or strong. Dont forget the last picture

You are right Here you go I thought that the late setting for point of intervention was for the lane keeping capabilities? Late is for just lane departure warning and early is for adaptive lane keeping. are there any more settings in other CUs needed to activate adaptive lane keeping properly? I already had lane departure warning from factory, but that’s just reacting when you are about to cross the lane markings (so it’s working as intended), but I want the car to stay in lane on its own (adaptive).

I thought that early_setting_over_menu works for you, but you get a message take over the steering all the time. I have seen a T-RocMY18 and T-RocMY20 to work perfect adaptive lane guidance with late_setting_over_menu. That's why i told you to try it out. Also what was the Value of ''Point of intervation'' from factory ? (Late or early) Let's make it clear, tha adaptive lane guidance works for you with the ''early_setting_over_menu'' but you get the message to take over the steering, or it doesn't seem to work at all ? One more thing i realised now, because you said that you have ACC, you have to go to : Adaptive Cruise Control Unit 13 Long Coding Cappacitive_steering_wheel and if the value is istalled turn it to not installed i think that this could be the solution Let us know, if you made it !

Ok so I tried switching to late, but that didn’t seem to fix the problem. Early feels smoother on the steering.
And yes, the adaptive lane keeping works, but it’s constantly beeping and prompting for takeover, which is annoying and dangerous as well.
I looked into the ACC unit and the option was disabled by default.
I don’t know what else we can try. Hope you have more ideas.

Did anyone resolve this? I’m looking to get active lane assist working on my q4. Presense and lane departure all working and installed already. Desperate to finish off with lane centering during cruise
