I was looking at purchasing the OBDeleven to try and have a go at enabling parking plus on my E-tron, but I'm not sure which version to purchase. I am an Android user, so is the older Android specific version just as good as the newer version?
Do I need a pro license? What's the difference between pro and ultimate?
Thanks in advance.

OBD11 View on the differences between the old and new voltas-it.helpshift.com/hc/en/3-obdeleven-android/faq/315-what-is-the-difference-between-devices/"The functionality of the devices is the same" I use both of them and although the next gen is slightly faster its not enough to make me not use the old one. Don't forget you have to have android 5 and above and if you have a BMW in your family then when the do eventually get round to it using the old devices you wont be able to talk to that car. If you only want to use apps then you dont need a pro licence if you want to code then yes you need it but you can start off with the basic version and upgrade at a latter time if that helps. Don't think about Ultimate for two reasons. 1/ It gives you the ability to make your own one click apps but at this stage you are not ready for that I would suggest. 2/ You can always upgrade later (these licences are only for a year now) so if later stuff comes in Ultimate only then you can decide to upgrade at that point. full list of what you can use on each plan can be found here obdeleven.com/en/content/24-subscription

Will Ultimate give me unlimited credits or do I have to still buy them? I am also new to ODB11. I had the same question which one to buy, Pro or Ultimate. I mainly used the apps, but may use the long code also.

Ultimate gives you access to all apps now and in the future of your yearly license.
But you pay an extra Eur 80-00 that's over 1000 credits
Plus you can then build your own one click apps but as soon as the license ends you cant use them anymore
Personally if you are going apps only and may use long coding I would buy the dongle, do your daily 6 a day credit video watching (which you can start today) and use the apps. If in the future you find you want to code then its just Eur 25 to upgrade to pro.
At this point I see no value in Ultimate package, maybe in the future it will have more benefits in which case you can upgrade at that point.
