Good evening folks!
I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. I bought the OBDeleven propack specifically for the VIM app.
The first couple of times I tried to install the MIB3 app, I got an error message saying something along the lines of "check your ignition"
I checked the forums and Youtube and thought that perhaps my hood needed to be open (still don't understand this one). Still nothing, same error message.
After I had completely given up, I tried to watch a video while driving and sure enough, it worked!
I don't know if I could repeat the steps that I took to get here, however, I never received confirmation that the app was applied.

Switch on the ignition, but not the engine, and just pop the hood, you don’t have to open it all the way. The reason for the hood being popped is because it prompts the vehicle to expect maintenance which extends to accepting changes in the cars coding/programming. If the hood is closed, there is a chance the car will reject the changes to the coding because it wasn’t anticipating maintenance with the hood closed

Thanks for the reply!
Regardless of how I got here, the video in motion was applied.
Just curious, you said to turn the ignition on while the OBDeleven app specifically says in the VIM instructions, not to turn on the ignition (I believe there were also exclamation points!!!).
Do you know if there is any risk associated with turning the ignition on?
