Hi, My sister had some issues on her GLA200 Mercedes, and I connected OBDEleven to it, just for the kicks. To my pleasure, it connected quickly to the car, displayed that it was a Mercedes-Benz (with a generic, shadowed sedan photo), and I was able to run a simple scan and see issues. i.imgur.com/wClVohL.jpgI thought OBDEleven could work as a generic scanner for other brands, but I've tried connecting it to a Renault Logan and a Fiat Palio, and both didn't work (The Renault would just spin the "Connecting" for less than 10 seconds, then would reset back to the idle "Connect" button without any error message. The Fiat would ask if the ignition was on, when it indeed was, and wouldn't connect.). An actual generic OBD11 scanner works on both cars. Does it work with other brands, or was the Mercedes connection just a fluke?

I know for sure it does not work on Porche or Honda and support advised this is because they have a different setup on the OBD2 Port.
I have had it working on my Ford Transit but there is no definitive list of what does and does not work that i have seen

Huh, now that you mention it, it indeed doesn't support Porsche. I thought that, as Porsche is a V.AG brand, it would, like Lamborghini. Funny, I always thought it would work. And you mentioned Honda, which is another brand I have at my home, and I was going to test on it as well. Well, it seems it would be fruitless, but I'll still try anyway lol
It's kinda interesting how cheapo knock-off ELM OBD11 scanners worked on the Fiat, Renault and Honda, and OBDEleven couldn't communicate with these cars. I guess the knock-off ELM adapters has some extra protocols that OBDEleven doesn't.

Yes I agree, I suspect that with so much cheap competition they (obd11) decided it was not worth time and effort supporting all cars.
I have also seen (but not confirmed) that MAN, SCANIA and Ducati which are part of the group are not supported, this may also be a license issue but dont know.
