I have a 2014 sq5. I received my obdeleven last night, when plugging it into the obd2 port the red led light briefly comes on then goes dark. When trying to connect with my Note 20 I get a message to check network connection. When I try using a pixel 3 xl I get the msg device not responding.
I have tried unpairing all other Bluetooth devices. Updating/reinstalling the app and plugging it into a different car to see if it would connect that way. Same results.
If I move the the device in and out of the plug the light will come on but never stay on. Any thoughts on this ? Did I get a bad unit or am I just missing something?

What error message did you get when you are trying to connect via OBDeleven app?Check what exactly happens when you press the connect button. If you are receiving a message "Device not responding" so the device is most likely faulty and you should contact Customer Support.

layzhicks: Hi, I had a similar problem from a local forum member who visited my workshop recently. Turned-out that cause was a faulty battery voltage pin on the OBD port on the car. Try using the dongle on another vehicle - if the same symptoms do not persist, check the OBD port on the sq5 Don

Thanks for the responses. After a few days back and forth with customer support they have stopped responding. Looks like I'm going to have to return the obd11 and try something else. Thanks again and good luck
