Hello!
Is it possible to use the obdeleven device with other obd scan tools such as Torque? I need to read fault codes sometimes from cars from other manufacturers than vag.

I was logging in today to ask the same question.
It would be great to see either the hardware support other apps like torq or to offer some real time user defined feedback. Since my jetta doesn't off coolant temp, outside temp, voltage etc, it would be great to setup a user screen for whatever you may want to monitor in realtime.

It would be great to see either the hardware support other apps like torq There will never be such support for third party apps. The device / dongle itself has some sort of encryption that explicitly prevents this. This tool is doing the same thing as the even more expensive VCDS/VAG-COM tool offered by Ross-Tech. The developers would be giving away their efforts for free if they offered support for third party apps. To answer your previous statement: It would be for the third party apps (like Torque) to offer support for this dongle (by cracking and reverse-engineering what OBDeleven has done here) which isn't going to be possible. It's best to wait on the developers to implement the features we want in the OBDeleven. If you really NEEDED the logging functionality (right this minute) you would have spend the $250 and bought the Ross-Tech tool that already has it. Here, we are going for the more affordable / available Android option. If you looked at it fairly, the logging option in (the latest revision of) Torque isn't very useful for those of us who do dyno tunes regularly. Let's be patient and allow the developers to work.
