Good companions.

I take this post to introduce myself with my Vw golf 7 GTI with a large FL version retrofit (discover pro, virtual cockpit, lane assist, front assist, ACC, 30 ambient lights, etc ...)

I have a problem with the lane assist ... I want it to save the last memory, so that it is always deactivated.

I use this config:

A5, Adaptation, "Personalisierung Spurhalteassistent bei kl 15 ein"
Change setting from "On" to "Last setting"

but my problem when entering: "Personalisierung Spurhalteassistent bei kl 15 ein", both vcds and OBD11, tells me: NOT AVAILABLE.

I have BAP customization disabled in A5.

And another problem I have is that it does not save the last memory of auto lights on. I remove the ignition or move the light switch to another position. And when I go back to the low beam lights I have to turn the lever again to put it on high beams.

use this config and nothing:

6 - Security Access - enter 31347

10 - Adaptations

• (5) -Assistenzlichtfunktionen-Fernlichtassistent Reset

• Wert anpassen: "nicht aktiv" [standard = "aktiv", d.h. Fernlichtassistent bei "Zündung aus" deaktiviert]

(the latter I mean high beams assistant)

A HUGE problem (for me at least) when responding to questions on this forum is that I must make many assumptions about what options are fitted to the car and about the meaning of the words used to ask the question. The latter point is particularly binding because this is an international forum - so it has members from many countries who use different forms of English!

So, with these caveats - I suspect that the reason for your NOT AVAILABLE response by both VCDS and OBD11 is because the particular version of the firmware in your hexA5 module doesn't have the Personalisierung Spurhalteassistent bei kl 15 ein adaptation channel. Not all modules have all the adaptation channels!! You can confirm my suspicion by making a back-up of the hexA5 module- then look through the list for the channel name - it most likely won't be reported!

And as for your second question - I'm somewhat confused!! I apologize if I have mis-read your question, but you appear to be confusing the concepts of High-Beam Assist (HBA) and the AUTO position on the rotary light switch (I think this is what you call "auto lights")

HBA refers to the assist system whereby the headlights use a number of shutters that are progressively lifted in front of the high-beam lamp to stop blinding an on-coming vehicle. For HBA to operate, your car MUST have special headlights fitted that contain these shutters and it must have the tracking facilities to monitor the path of the on-coming vehicle.

So, the Fernlichtassistent channels only relate to these "special" headlight fittings. If you want HBA to remember the last setting, the normal tweak is change the channel Fernlicht_assistent-Fernlichtassistent Reset from "active" to not active on the hex09 module

The AUTO position on the rotary light switch (I think this is what you call "auto lights") is of course an entirely different function (related to the light-sensor that's installed on the front windshield)

The subject of the HBA is already clear to me. I have full led + DLA headlights. I was doing it wrong .... If I leave the lights switch on AUTO and push the lever to activate the HBA. I remove and put the contact. The HBA is still active. So it's all good.
My problem was that I turned the AUTO position lights switch to 0 and again from 0 to AUTO and the HBAs were disabled. But I see that it is normal. The important thing is that if I leave the switch on AUTO and activate HBA. Whenever I remove and replace the contact, the HBA is still active. This is fine and resolved.

About being able to save lane assist memory in hexA5. As soon as I can, I'll take out a full backup adaptations and I'll paste it here. Would it be possible to change firmware to one that if it left I have odis.

One more doubt. I have navi discover pro 9.2. Of course this navi is golf 7.5. But when connecting my OBD11, it detects me as golf 7 (my car is 2015). And the application for VIM gets confused and does not use the one for MIB2-3. How could I select it manually? because if I look in the compatibility area. Ignores me.

See how VCDS "admaps" are very much more superior to OBD11 back-up files? Notice how the flat file structure of VCDS makes them far easier to read and the .CSV format in these VCDS reports requires virtually NO parsing to import the data into analytical Apps like MS Excel/Access?

When will OBD11 recognize the value of an option for a flat-file format when users select "back-up"? These reports apply to what is ostensibly a relational database structure - so why doesn't OBD11 provide an accepted standardized format for the information? And yes, I'm aware that this change request has to be prioritized into the wider work-load - but this request is now very old and how difficult can it be to write script for a .CSV format option?

The truth is that according to the purchase of the car the first thing I did was a full backup of all the car modules with .csv in VCDS. Don't use OBD11 for this, really ...

As for your issue about the wrong car type - AFAIK, OBD11 uses the car VIN to determine the car type (it doesn't use the hex5F module). Since you say that your car is 2015 - this is correctly a mk7

About the VIM I already solved it. Uninstall OBD11, reinstalled it and fixed. I already detect my discover PRO well.

About the lane assist I don't know how to solve it ...

Yes. I leave the option you see in the screenshot selected. I go to the menu, I deactivate it. But as soon as I remove and put the car ignition. It is activated again ... I also try to reset the default settings of the driver aids and automatically deactivate the lane assist (it seems that it does heed the order at that time), but the same ... As soon as I remove and I put the contact. It is reactivated by default ... It is like the A5 module if it is properly configured. But on the other hand it asks it to be activated every time you reset the contact ... I don't know where to look anymore ... front assist module?

Hi, i was also struggeling with my Skoda Karoq 2020 and the retrofit A5 camera won't remember the last setting.
Ordered another camera same model but newer firmware, did the alingment again and same issue.

After long testing and changing I managed to remember the lane settings.

Goto A5 module Byte 14 to A4 (radar is not installed)
So if you've radar connected to your A5 camera you should first submit A4 then go back to byte 4 and tick Radar and submit again.

Hopefully it's the same issue as mine.
