I have the following issue when comparing IOS vs Android
in IOS it has label Serial number but always shows not available when there is no code held however on Android if no code then the menu item is not shown.
However if you look in Advanced identification and then search for Serial Number it should give it to you if its known, certainly works on my old Seat banger
The other thing to try is change the ODX Code and see if that brings back an answer.

Cheers in the older stuff advance ID is not there and in the C8 serial number isn’t in advance ID
Odis pulls it fine

On the older stuff have you looked for Serial number under live data, Also have you tried using a different ODX file as this can make a difference to the data you see.
The other bug I am aware off with iOS is that the subsystems show the data of the control unit rather than the sub system might be worth a look to see if its shown there,
Do you have access to an android device just to see if it works any better with that as I certainly get a lot of differences in data output across the app between the two devices.
