Is there a coding to enable carplay gps navigation and the vw gps navigation at the same time?
I would like to be able to see the map on the digital dashboard at the same time as having carplay navigation (gmaps, waze etc). Whenever I start navigation on the phone the digital dashboard map goes blank.

Just been out to my car to check, I had iPhone maps on radio and vw maps in aid 🤷♂️ Do you have a discover pro?

i can get both to show up as long as i dont have directions running on the phone. once i start directions on the phone the maps on the dashboard goes away.

Only vw map in AID
You could try changing it to LVDS in 5f instead of MOST streaming, but not sure if it would do anything at all, as I’m sure someone would have already found a solution
To the op
Do you have a discover pro?
Have you tried setting your journey on vw maps then setting your journey on iOS?

So went for a drive today, iOS map on the nav and vw map on the AID, proof, notice the speed  |

When start navigation via CarPlay, system navigation on AID is disable, is there any coding to let CarPlay navigation show into AID or keep system navigation show up when CarPlay navigation is using  |

YES, when use no system navigation like CarPlay with apple map or google map, map in AID will goes blank and show"Navigation on mobile device is active."

Yeah, is there a way to get rid of the "Navigation on mobile device is active." screen, so both screens can show directions?

You can only have both showing if you’re not actually navigating. As soon as you set a destination in CarPlay maps the AID closes the built-in map or music view.

I would also like keep the navigation in the dash while having an active navigation running through car play on the MIB.

You need a discover pro
And a sdcard
But Vw map has to be in AID

Isn't there a procedure to do it by modifying the bytes on the Eprom directly with obd11 as for the vim?

It’s part of the boot of the MIB, so it’s in a file in the file system as I’m lead to understand, so not part of the eeprom, I believe you can do it via wifi or usb root access tho, although I haven’t looked into it because toolbox worked first time and it’s not something I use

One more question: I have seen the instructions on GitHub and everything seems straitforward (in the past I have already successfully enabled VIM changing bytes value in the EEPROM with obd11), but before trying I'd like to understand what is the dangerous phase in which I could breaks the discover pro!! During the installation of the MIB2 Toolbox from the SD card or later when changing settings on the unit?

Guessing that’s to cover his arse, some firmwares might be affected differently I guess, but mainly there’s stuff you can do that could brick your unit if you did something wrong as your messing with the file system and not switches like what obdeleven does, but I’ve used it for about 3 different firmware’s and not pressed anything I didn’t know what it does beforehand,
They do have a problems page on GitHub you could read up on, but some of the comments are old and the way it’s sideloaded has been changed to a safer mode now

I think I have missed a step: I have done a test with my "immaculate" Discover Pro (before installing anything) pressing "MENU" for 10s but no developer mode, it's normal? After 3s it has entered Service Mode.

Yes after pressing MENU for 3s "Service mode" menu appears with something like "Software...", "HMI versions", "Function..." "ITR" or "IFR" (the only one not working)...if I press longer after 10s I listen a beep.
